Just out of curiosity, why do you do the tweets without a name, or say you are going to say information later? Why the cryptic messages?

There's two of us on that account. It wasn't my tweet so I can't really say. Sometimes it's because we're working on confirmation for something or sometimes it's because we are getting conflicting information.

Pirlo being a clear example:
Source 1: it's happening today
Source 2: I haven't heard anything
NYCFC: Who's Pirlo?

This has Cosmos stink all over it.

Agreed. They are the only team in the NASL that can maybe afford him. It's sad how far Adu has fallen. If he lived up to his potential we could be talking Real Madrid instead of the Real Monarchs. lol

Great article from April in defense of Adu: http://www.onceametro.com/2015/4/23...hiladelphia-union-usmnt-undeserved-reputation

I think he would be an absolute star in the NASL, and could carry the Cosmos between their Raul-esque signings.

Idk. The dude wasn't even playing in Finland. He was most recently playing for their reserve squad in the fourth division. This is a completely different Adu than even the one that played for the US at the Gold Cup in 2011. He might be a big signing for the Cosmos, but I don't see him having much of an impact unless he makes some big improvements to fitness and his commitment to the game.

Funny how far his fall from grace has been.

However, he couldn't possibly be worse than RJ Allen.

Skill wise there is no comparison Adu has way more talent. Work rate and attitude are a totally different question. I'll take a guy like RJ at $40K who knows his place on the team and works is ass off, over Adu at considerably more $ who shows flashes of brilliance 5% of the time and lazy work rate/bad attitude 95% of the time. They can write all the poor Freddie he's learned his lesson articles that they want. Until I see him stick and play meaningful minutes for a team I am not buying it. I'm also not interested in NYCFC being the next team to roll the dice, it could work but previous indications say it wont.

Never suggested that we should sign him.

I love RJ because of his underdog mentality. I hate RJ because of his dumb mistakes during games.

Some players do well in different leagues. In his defense, when he played for philly he was one of their better players, although that isn't saying much, but he could be a game changer at times for them.Other players are the same, they suck in different leagues and then when they play in a league they are comfortable in they do loads better. Look at quaresma, sucked for a couple of years, fell from grace then went back to fc porto and has found great form again.

I suggest, freddy come back play for dc or in the nasl. He should have never left philly for brazil, that is when he started to plummet again.
