Philadelphia (Home) - Postmatch

Is that true?

It’s different than the NFL as you don’t have a cap hit on your 1 time a season cut. But it’s less $ out of the club’s pocket at that point in MLS. Even though they would have paid it earlier in the contract.

But I never read anything that would stop a signing bonus to work the same as a transfer fee. It all costs the same vs the cap anyway.

Couple of thoughts. I guess we could use our one time buyout on Maxi. Still have to pay him but it doesn’t hurt the Cap.

When you look at the data the MLSPU publishes, the cap hits factor in bonuses I believe.

Belated post-game reaction: First half I felt like it was almost like the beginning of the season, no attacking threat without Heber. There must have been 5 crosses from Sweat that weren't dangerous at all. Halftime adjustments were key.

I was listening to the Soccer in the City podcast today and they mentioned that the Supporters Section was louder than it's been in awhile. I felt that during the match but wasn't sure if it was just because we were back after the international break and I didn't make it to the Open Cup. I brought two co-workers to their first NYCFC game, and it's the most I've enjoyed myself in awhile

Edit: Also, to the folks in 234, we saw you/heard you in 236
