Portland Postmatch

We've crapped on Fred, but it seems like he's really really happy to be in NYC and to play for the team. Goes to show how much chemistry along a back line means. The last two seasons we gave up a ton of goals with the rotating door we threw out there each week, but with stretches with Sweat-Callens-Chanot and Sweat-Callens-Fred, we've seen some great performances once they've gotten comfortable.
I hadn't realized our FredMertz was on the team Toe ! I'm too busy with Andrea or Stertzer . Somebody needs to update The Roster . Thanks for this useful info !

So Borg's an idiot, I get that. But usually I just think that because he thinks so many fouls are red card worthy. But this week I don't understand the reasoning behind the two DOGSO incidents. He says Guzman doesn't deserve a red because Roy Miller was "close enough to challenge." (That doesn't even take into account the fact that the first leg grab was much earlier and no Portland defender was around) But for Seattle and LA, and the Torres DOGSO, he has no problem with Torres getting the red despite the fact that there is another Seattle defender about 3 feet away.

Thank you for saving me the time of watching it.

Then it was the right call. I saw it live. If Torres clipped him, it was DOGSO without question. Just hard to see the legs tangle on the network feed.
Then do you think Guzman also deserved red? Its not that I think the Torres red was a bad call, I just didn't understand Borg's rationale for one over the other

It would be very hard to convince me that the MLS Soccerati didn't have it out for our team. I don't really get why anymore.

Possibly I'm being naive but I think it's more a matter of incompetence than intentional targeting. The quality of the players in the league and the play on the field is wildly outpacing the quality of the referees. It's going to be a major inhibitor to the league if the MLS doesn't start addressing it.

Borg isn't an idiot, he's just a pro-sympathizer. He only makes the DOGSO call at the time of the whistle which is wrong, it should be at the time of the initial leg grab.

AMEN !!! THANK YOU !! I'll add the contempt jealousy and resentment to players from these Bastard Refs coming here from the outside ! Oh Hell Yeah ! Andrea's faced that the moment he first stepped on the pitch for his first game . He Never Had a reputation for confrontation to referees in ITALY ! He didn't have to with the likes of Gattuso and Chiellini at his side doing the Dirty Work for him . In Fact he had the reputation of peace maker during these ugly incidents . But No These God Damn Incompetent Dick Head Refs have most definitely Target him on Purpose !!

There Dicks can't be seen at all compared to My Old Man's who's always had trouble finding shorts to fit him ! Look at this clip from Back In The Day Ya'll !! This is my Receipt as you young folk say ! ENJOY IT and Thanks Again Mr gbservis gbservis

This, Guzman loses the ball to Maxi then holds him up for a second or two while they fight for it and then after beaten a second time blatantly grabs his leg and pulls him down.

Notice how many times Borg talks about "that's a GREAT call" - he's a mouthpiece of the league. Enough said.
