Damn....it's not easy getting WS tickets. Couldn't get through on the MC presale, now when I click search, it just does the loading toggle. I was hoping they might have a few seats left for the public and I could snatch one up right at the last minute, but no luck yet.
A co-worker tried to sign on the instant they went on sale and could not get any. He searched for available tickets and the wheel spun and spun and eventually it said there was nothing. He only wanted a single ticket, which usually helps him in such situations.

I did the same, but screwed myself by immediately searching for all 3 games at once. It took me a minute to realize that if you search in multiple windows, even for different games, it cancels your original search and limits you to one game. Im thinking only a very few lucky fast fingers snagged some seats, and that delay may have cost me. Then again, they may not have even released any seats, and everyone just looked stupid trying.

good....they need this badly...dont know how ball bounces etc getting to know surroundings etc
Forget about the bounces.... they need to spend two hours working on just shooting. It’s like they’ve forgotten how to take a shot. I think it was Crooks on BCR that said the only way to get comfortable shooting is to spends a LOT of time just doing it in practice and afterwards. Pepper the area with shots on target and make Columbus have to save/block them and hope those blocked fall favorably to our guys to put another back on frame.

I have a yankees 9!game plan and so I got access to the presale. I got 3 tickets to each game at $181 each, main level. Super stoked, I’ve been to every playoff game at YS and I’m hoping they make it to the WS!

I bet you could sell those tix for enough to pay for your NYCFC season package.

So, assuming there is a playoff match at CitiField how would ticketing work?

If the game was as YS, they'd charge your card for your season ticket location...but since the game is at Citi there are no season ticket locations. Would it be just a similar pre-sale for season ticket holders? Can't imagine them charging your card since the seat locations are in a different stadium.

I am sure it is going to be just like the upcoming game and the game in Connecticut. All prior transactions are canceled, and we go and buy new tickets.

The Rutgers release says not enough time to prepare given the Yankees post season run. This seems disingenuous given that the last home World Series game would be 6 days earlier. Plus, they could always just wait 2 more days to see if it is even an issue before canceling.

On the other hand, there has been chatter that the Yankees couldn't get the stadium turned around for us in the usual 3 days for Nov 1, so maybe 6 would be a problem too. I am guessing the temporary seats they add might be an issue. They might take a while to change out and could also block a football field/pitch.

I'm
Confused. Isn't the second leg hosted on Nov 1 anyway?
No. Second leg should be on the weekend of Nov 4 or 5. It was moved up to accommodate the Rutgers football game when (1) everyone thought second place was a sure thing, and (2) nobody expected the Yankees to make it to the WS. Now nobody knows what's what. Assume we stay in second or it's all moot anyway:
If the Yankees make the WS then we probably can't play Nov 1 at YS, because the last WS game at YS will end around midnight Oct 29. The crew won't be able to start changing the field until morning of Oct 30 which is less than 72 hours before a Nov 1 game time. Rutgers clearing out opens things for NYCFC on the weekend, but if they can't convert the field for football by the weekend they might not be able to do it for soccer either. Nobody knows why. Speculation that maybe they add extra temporary seats for WS or something that makes the conversion more tricky.
If Yanks don't make the WS then both Nov 1 and Nov 4-5 should be open, but apparently we don't know if MLS would let us switch back to the weekend. I can't see why not though.
