Premier League 17/18

Over under on Mane breaking Ederson's jaw?

Also Midas I feel slightly bad that Liverpools season will inevitably slide to shit and that you will somehow loose the CL spot to luck and idiocy from Arsenal.

Well, I guess there's a chance for my score prediction. \

It's a red. But I don't fault Mane. Think things went as they should have from him and the ref. I don't know if he ever saw Ederson.
And even if he did I don't think there was any intent.

First 15 minutes felt like Liverpool was playing a bottom third of the table side, especially with Otamendi on a yellow, but that first goal was typical City (in a good way) where they took one perfect pass and a couple of good moves to just slice through the opposition as if it was the practice field. Then the red card, and it seems Ederson is OK mostly. Liverpool is certainly good enough to still score with 10 but the odds are not in their favor. And Stones has stepped up to fill Kompany's spot. I'd do evil things to get a defender like Stones on our team and he's "just" a bench guy on an overstocked Man City team.

4-0 City as I type this with more than 10 minutes left.

I turned it off at the half and took the dog for a walk.

Klopp threw in the towel by taking Salah off. I was surprised. Salah was eating Otamendi for breakfast and was LIV's best chance of getting back into the game.

I guess Klopp figured getting off to a good start in the CL group stage is more important than potentially a point in the PL.

Wasn't expecting that. I actually didn't watch the game but it sounds quite like the red card changed the game, so I'm drawing no conclusions over my score prediction versus the actual. I will say, though, that while it sounds like Liverpool almost put their hands up in defeat as soon as Mane was sent off, scoring four against a team with 10 men is not nearly as easy as it sounds, and at this level a team with 10 men can often give the 11 men on the other side a real run for their money.

After this morning, Midas Mulligan Midas Mulligan is either converting his savings into alcohol (the real liquidity) or he's on suicide watch. Step quietly around him at the game today.

On behalf of the forum's ManU supporters (JayH and me), that's a shitty way to go down, but somebody had to lose and any result was ok by me.

There was nothing to be mad about. Shitty luck. I thought Liverpool was working City pretty good, then a bad header by Hendo gives them a good chance they convert and Mane got sent off. It was over then.

Good result for them. Shitty for Pool, obviously. But I think Falastur Falastur is right that it's a good result earned by a good performance even given the circumstances.

I just don't know of many Liverpool supporters, including the local (to club) content I consume, who have a lot of animosity towards Man City. It's mostly just respect for the players and football operations, and the typical shit about how much all of their new fans suck. Whatever. I'm not bothered.

I don't think we can win the league this year anyway, and I don't think that result alone would keep us out of top 4. I'd be happy with top 4 and a UCL semi, maybe even quarter (I'm lying, I wouldn't). Glad that Klopp's stubbornness in not just signing some CB was exposed right off the bat. He needs to learn that fucking lesson.

Whereas Pep's stubbornness in not signing a CB has yet to be exposed, unfortunately.

Anyone know what Premier League team I should support. I'm pretty sick of watching as a neutral. I've been thinking Tottenham because of Jewish origins but I'm not sure.

Man City. It obviously looks bad jumping on the bandwagon now. But, I didn't have a Premier League team and NYCFC was, is, and will always be my first team. Supporting the other City teams are just more seamless. Cynergy.
