Premier League 2019/20

It's been very difficult to think about anything soccer related, but if you need a distraction, we discovered yesterday that NBCSN has been replaying some great games in full, showing 30 minute versions of other classic games, and showing other content (goals of the week, week in review, etc.) from random seasons of the past. The 30 minute cut games have been great (and included the Man U Ipswich 9-0 game, and the Manchester Derby where Owen scored in stoppage time ;)) so me and the boys have been enjoying those. Be safe and well everyone.
I've also heard that NBC Sports Gold? Is offering a free period so they may have lots of random soccer content on there....i haven't checked it out yet

Man City vs QPR from May 2012 on Sunday morning at 8am, for example. (That's Sunday, April 5.) Followed by Everton/Liverpool from 2013 and then Chelsea/Arsenal from 2014.

Well, turns out it wasn't the full last-day-of-season Man City match they announced in the middle of the week but was instead a Premier League Download show but I was still almost in tears at the end anyway. They're showing another one for Pep's first seasons there with unknown match replays to follow afterwards.

B/R live has Champions League archive too. Just watched 2011 CL final. Remembering now just how good Xavi was.

I think it's fair to say that the level of analysis and tactical preparation over the last 10 years has increased at what feels like an exponential rate, and that can give us the sense that we are watching the best football in history. But then you imagine Xavi instead of Gundo in a Man City midfield. I like Gundo a lot, but Gundo : Xavi looks like MLS : EPL right now.

Now the latest rumors are that to finish the EPL season they need use of neutral venues. The teams near the bottom will only agree to neutral venue matches if relegation is suspended for this season. Could we see an expanded EPL for next season? Not sure how you could finish the season ,award a champion and European spots , but also deny the top teams in the Championship promotion ?

Haven’t other leagues already stated that they will do this?

Play with expanded top divisions next year? I think so? I think Uefa has really blown it by not taking charge and making uniform rules throughout. We've got Holland calling an end to the season but with no champions and France awarding their champion. I almost think they should go without Champions league or Europa next year since A) It will be confusing to decided who qualifies and B) to ease fixture congestion but they'll never give up their cash cow.

I thought I read somewhere that a top league was calling the season and not relegating or promoting anyone. I agree with you.

Well then... thank God the premier league is back.
KDB hasn’t lost a step. Some of the passes today were exceptional. Scary what happened to Garcia. Foden is going to be one of the worlds best. So intelligent and talented for his age.
Sheffield was robbed.

lol @ fernandinho's handball. i can never understand what a player is thinking when they attempt to swat the ball away with their hands. Never understood it before VAR and definitely can't understand it now with VAR. his face when they were checking - priceless.
