Quick question for those with tickets to the game on 1/15 in Orlando. If you buy tickets to the 2pm game, do you get access to the NYCFC game at 6pm?

That’s a lot of time between games so I’m going to assume no. Safe bet is to contact the venue.

The timing of this thing is so strange, have we played games this early in preseason during other training camps? No way our guys are anywhere close to even preseason game shape at this point. Hopefully they all coast through this thing and no one pulls a muscle.

They've scrimmaged in the first week of preseason, but never a match like this with paying customers. It's a little strange.

Hoping they have unlimited subs and everyone gets 30 minutes tops. Either that or all the trialists/academy kids are playing for 70-80 minutes and then the rest of the squad can kick around for the last 10. Definitely a money grab this early into the preseason.

they probably did this in order to speed up getting to match fitness for CCL. the main disadvantage of MLS teams in CCL is not being match fit vs liga MX teams who are already 25-30% through their season.

i would imagine these games will be treated much like scrimmages, despite being a paid match attraction. new coach, new players. all signs point to it being a game to try new things and tactics, much like when the european teams come to the US every year to play some pre-season games and charge for attendance.

I was actually wrong about this. I just looked back at last year, they flew to Dubai and had their first preseason practice on Jan. 29, then played their game against AIK on Feb. 3.

What was it?
Strange that they took it down. It was just a 4 minute video of training, with RD leading. The usual monkey in the middle drills (with some fun and laughs), passing drills, shooting drills, running, etc. Some of the players looked particularly winded (Tinney, Chanot, etc.). Ring looks extra ripped. Nothing too exciting.
