Preseason - January 15 - Corinthians

Went to the game and a big shutout to the Corinthian fans, they were all so cool and pleasant to be around and the stadium was not full at all and they made a heck alot of noise. The atmosphere was pretty good considering what type of game this was. When the Palmieres fans came in towards the end, they along with the Corinthian fans were going back and forth with chants. It was awesome to see.

As for the game, honestly, not much to take from this.

I thought Sands looked great - some reasonable young lads and JPT kept making me think he was Maxi with that hair..... until he got the ball and he was a bit poor.

And I too shall stan for Colman Kim - definitely got involved and had no fear and showed quick thinking, solid enough performance from the wee man.
lmao i had the same maxi problem!

It takes a Florida paper to interview our manager, I guess. NYCFC comms living up to their reputation.

Best part is the Sentinel rightly has us as the Pigeons rather than the league site’s (boo, hiss) “Cityzens.”

The website is finally posting reactions. Perhaps we'll see one from Ronny later. They must still be on vacation.

If NYCFC were smart, they'd work with Villa and makes qbfc the usl team.
I wonder whether that would be inconsistent with the QBFC marketing/business plan. Being the farm team of the bigger team in NYC is likely not the perception motive, and is likely detrimental to the team's success.

Helps them get a good player or two for a season without having to worry about salary for a presumed starter/useful super-sub. Helpful to both the USL squad (saving money while getting a good player) and the MLS club (experience for younger players against more experienced professionals). I don't think they take on the entire U20 team, but loaning one or two guys to them each year can be beneficial to both sides.
