He played unexpectedly well, but at the same time produces shit. People buy into him, I don't get it

The only person buying into RJ Allen is Jason Kreis and I hope that's temporary with the soon to be finalized acquisition of Iraola. With Iraola on a long term contract one of Allen/Brovsky are surplus to our needs and I hope it's Allen that goes. Although based on salary, it could be Brovsky who is cut/sold/traded.
theyre both cancerous to the team's attack.
brovsky is good in very very limited quantities, like tackling and throwing in the ball maybe.
Love him or hate him as a player, seems like a nice guy:

I think there is a pretty decent shot he is our best RB this year. It would be nice to get the Iraola that we all thought we were getting, but Allen had a very good end of the year. He has a pretty decent combination of defensive skill, physicality and the ability to selectively get forward and play dangerous crosses. Getting him off the scrap heap at his price is, I think, potentially one of the personnel coups of last season.

Does anyone know what RJ's status is? He hasn't been dressed either of the last two matches, which has let to Iraola playing deep into the game and these slightly terrifying cameos from Ethan White at RB (or maybe it was supposed to be a 3 man back, hard to tell). Haven't seen any reports of an injury though.
Pretty certain it was meant to be a back 3. PV mentioned at the Cityzens event that he would look to play 3 at the back. No idea why RJ didn't play, he has been training this week though.
Probably has a U10 tourney to coach this week.......

He wasn't at the game from what I remember. Sat right behind the bench and don't remember seeing him.
Glenn Crooks tweeted that he, Brandt and mena were out with "no timetable" for return...sounds like he picked up an injury
My guess is Allen would have started on the bench anyway, though I'm bullish on the long-term. Really bummed about Mena though. I was hoping to see him start strong.
