Rugby United New York

To follow up even though nobody cares, this morning I read through the wikipedia articles on rugby union and rugby league for maybe the 47th time, so everything is fresh, though in 2 weeks I'll forget again. Rugby union is the original, and still more popular version, and if a game is called just rugby it means rugby union 99% of the time. The ball is theoretically always in play and you never have to concede possession until the other team takes it. Rugby league is a bit more similar to gridiron football in that the offense has to turn the ball over after being tackled 6 times if they don't score (among several other differences).
Major League Rugby plays rugby union, which they call simply "rugby" according to convention, but then put the word "league" in front of it, for maximum confusion.
Also the announcers yesterday kept referring to it as "The MLR" and I didn't know if I was supposed to be disdainful of them for inserting "the" or not.

Shoulda called it National Rugby Assocation.

Wait a minute...

Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone let me know a good TLDR type of youtube video for the rules of the type of rugby this team plays?

Still on vacation in Florida where I didn't get chance to watch the game but RUNY dropped the season opener pretty badly 34-14 to The New England Free Jacks who were playing their first competitive match.

Was able to watch RUNY for the firs time this season since they were on cbs sports NY tonight. Game of two haves as they hung on to a 31-23 win. Playing into or against the wind really effected things. Helped bring up my spirits a bit after the NYCFC match earlier.

I like their away kits. White with blue pinstripes , Orange trim, and Orange numbers. Bit of a Mets look I suppose.

Major League Ruby has canceled the rest of the season. Hope they can survive as their still in their infancy. I get it it's a very short season to begin with.

Their season goes to what, June? Would there be a reason they couldn't play in the fall? Are there other competitions these players are in?
