Underway today. Rangers win 1-0 in Aberdeen. Alfredo Morelos started. Staying? Or in the shop window. Leon Balogun Nigeria international defender signed from Wigan stared straight away and played solid in central defense next to Connor Goldson.

Celtic and Aberdeen both have next two matches postponed for players violating Corona protocol. Now I know I'm Rangers biased but this is not just an outbreak of the virus where we don't know the cause but players deliberately violating Corona rules, would a forfeiture or deduction of points really be out of line?

Rangers won the first Old Firm derby of the season on Saturday. Yes they were closer to having an 100 percent team but it was utter domination and the 2-0 scoreline flattered Celtic. Rangers under Stevie G really have done quite well in the Old Firm and Europe they just need to find consistency to bring home the title this year. They sometimes play down to the opposition and drop too many points to the so called "Diddy teams" as I've heard Scottish folk put it whereas Celtic are flat track bullies rarely dropping points against the minnows.

So Rangers have a 13 point lead now which will still be at least 7 points even if celtic win their two games in hand. I'm starting to feel a little confident about this.... Meanwhile Leigh Giffiths in a Trumpian level of denial just asserted that not only are Celtic still better but that NO Rangers player would crack their starting 11...

Seen this Scottish football thread and thought I’d pop this in:

Our Rangers FC podcast - The Gallant Few - had an interview with NYC FC’s regional co-ordinator for youth development; Calum Sinclair.

A really insightful interview into Calum’s role and his take on youth development within NYC and the USA in general. We also compare the development culture in the states to back home in Scotland, and how Rangers’ links with US clubs could be beneficial for both sides.

So I don't like to count chickens or jinx anything but Rangers now have a 21 point lead at the top of the SPL. Celtic do have 3 games in hand but that's a worst case scenario of a 12 point lead once they've played those fixtures. For some absurd reason Celtic were allowed to fly to Dubai after the Old Firm game and postpone their match with Hibs till today from Sunday. They came back (shockingly ) with a Covid case and had to play a depleted team drawing 1-1. The most likely thing that could stop Rangers at this point would be another Covid stoppage, but the precedent was set last season for awarding the title to the league leaders at that juncture last season.

And it's over. Rangers win their 55th Scottish top flight championship. A combination between a brilliant season and Celtic completely losing the plot allowing them to clinch with 6 matches to go.

Bigger title defense collapse ? And more Shocking title defense Collapse , Liverpool or Celtic?
