Seat Relocation In Progress Thread

City+Membership+1217+email+copy.jpg

Don't know if this means anything, but as a non-STH, I just received this email.

TBH, I wasn't going to reread all 7 pages to recall if anyone was interested, but new locations and front row seats (my bold) kind of sound like locations some guys may have had an interest in. Odd they open up these types of seats now rather than give STH a chance at them first.

We can't know for certain but I expect these were made available, but nobody chose them. The system was fair but in the end had an inherent randomness factor. People who originally bought first got to choose based on what was available. As later people picked, they might have abandoned seats that someone who selected earlier might have wanted. Too bad for them. It seems you could ask to be given a second opportunity but I doubt many bothered. Front row of section seats were highly valued, but it is possible that some were given up late in the process by people with different priorities, such as moving near friends, moving to supporters section, combining 2 sets of seats, etc. Then nobody saw them and now those are available to first time buyers.

Wow 117A has front row aisle seats available. If only they hadn't moved City Beats to 118.

This technically isn't about relocation but it doesn't need a separate thread either. I got an email today about an extremely limited opportunity to an Audi Club access Add-On to my tickets. It gave no price, and said to call for details. I'm not planning to do that but I was wondering if anyone called and got the scoop?

I got this Email too. This is a copy. Here is the scoop for and additional $1,105 per seat get access to buffet service at the Audi Club.

Good evening,

As we reflect upon our Inaugural Season at Yankee Stadium, a consistent and important topic of discussion during our off-season planning is how we can make improvements to enhance the match-day experience for our City Members

Your feedback has been extremely valuable and after receiving some inquiries regarding how we might be able to add a food-inclusive element for fans within the Delta Sky360 Suite, where you are currently a Member, we have worked hard to create such an opportunity.

We are pleased to announce that beginning with the 2016 New York City FC season, a limited number of City Members will have the ability to purchase an additional membership that will include private access to the Audi Club, where a complimentary upscale food buffet will be prepared for you.

An enclosed climate-controlled space located on the SAP Suite Level (accessible via a short walk from Delta), the Audi Club features a cocktail bar and a dining lounge and offers sweeping views of Yankee Stadium. High-definition televisions, performance-cooking stations, a dessert station, complimentary soft drinks, and full cocktail service (alcoholic beverages are available for an additional cost) complete the gourmet dining experience.

The package is being made available first to Delta Sky360 Members for an additional cost of $1,105/seat, which would provide access to all of our 17 regular season home matches.

The Audi Club will begin service on match-days once gates open, and the buffet will conclude at the 50th minute. The Club will remain open until the end of the match, and Audi Club Members will have the ability to go back and forth from their seats to the Audi Club as often as they’d like throughout the match.

Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note, Audi Club Members will only have access to the tables within Audi Club, and no assigned or permanent seats will be available.

For more information on the Audi Club Membership, or to reserve your spot today, please contact Julie Caruso at 212.738.5899 / Julie.Caruso@nycfc.com or Ryan Davenport at 212.738.5846 / Ryan.Davenport@nycfc.com.We’d be happy to answer your questions tomorrow any time after 9am if not sooner. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best,
Julie

im still waiting to hear back to renew my seats...

Did you buy season tickets for 2015?If the answer is yes and you have not received any notice from the NYCFC staff, and you want to renew for season 2016, Call them. renewal started back about 2 months ago. Now they are working on seat relocation for those that wish to change.

I renewed early october... I contacted my new rep Doug, he finally got back to me for a day, then went on vacation for a week... nonetheless he was as good as useless. I asked if there was any section with seats for about 7 people, doesnt have to be in the same row, but close together so I can let them know where to change their seats to. his helpful response is "i cant move all your friends" when i just asked if there was the option to sit close together...

"The Audi Membership is being made available to City Members located in Category 1, Category 2, or Category 3 for an additional $1,700/seat. If you are currently seated in another category, you can upgrade your seats and then purchase the Audi Membership. "

Yeesh. For that much, they better be giving you an actual Audi as a present to say thanks...

Comes out to $100/game in food/drink per person.... there's really no justification for purchasing it because after a couple of beers, cheese steak (or equiv), and pretzel or fries - which as a la carte in the stands is a fraction of the cost - I'd risk short-term bodily turmoil with any more stadium quality food than that. Sure the buffet/cooking stations are probably higher quality than the stands have, but it'd become an extreme sporting event of it's own to make sure enough food it eaten every time to justify the price.

I am not sure if your concern had been properly addressed or resolved by your rep Doug, and If you are not happy, I encourage you to speak to Dan Steeves , he is the Director of Fan Services at NYCFC . look up his number on the directory. Do it ASAP because the relocation process been on for a while and available seats made be gone.

Any idea what the number of season ticket holders currently stands at? (I'm not counting the seats on the chart myself). Sure, we had 20,000 founding members, but in terms of 2016 that number can be more or less. What does the 2016 season ticket holder number look like?

No announcement yet. If they make one, I'd expect it around opening day to maximize the number. Last year the number could only go up so they kept announcing every new milestone. Right now the number could be lower or barely above last year.

I got an email today about an extremely limited opportunity to an Audi Club access Add-On to my tickets.

I was so stoked when I got this e-mail because this is a resolution to the single gripe that I had all season long. Every time they sent a survey, I noted that some of the "premium" seating didn't have enough value. I suggested 2 or 3 different ways to do that and an add on was one of them. Then... I saw the price. Total ripoff as far as I'm concerned. The freakin' add on is as much as, if not more than, the seats themselves!

I was not surprised by the price. I figure it has to be close to the premium for Legends or Champions Suite tickets, or they risk devaluing the perks for those seats. You're in Delta, IIRC, so that's a sort of hybrid. And I don't see how they can offer you all-inclusive food for much less than the difference between that and Legends or Champions without destroying the value of those seats. It seems that Audi club is more than the difference between Delta and Champions Club, which is wrong. It should be something less, because you have to leave your seats and go to a club where you are not guaranteed a seat. I'm in Category 1, so the add-on is exactly what I would pay for Champions Club, but it
is more than any value I would get from it.

Yeah, and I understood/understand that. My main request was to add popcorn and soda into Delta tickets. I think that's enough. The margin on soda and popcorn is insane so it really wouldn't have cost them much of anything to add that. Even if popcorn and soda was made an add on, that would have been significantly lower than this nonsense.

They should add another far lower priced option.

As of 11 am today there are 4146 tickets available on the site. Does not include the supporters section, but I would bet that is close to sold out
Single games or mini plans are not yet on sale yet so thats pretty good.

That's a good idea: soda and bar snacks - not just popcorn but pretzels and beer nuts. They could even limit the solid food to one box/bag of your choice per seat with unlimited soda refills and it could be a good value at the right price..

For the Yankee games, Delta includes popcorn, peanuts, fountain soda, and water. However, because of the price of the ticket of NYCFC vs. Yankees, amenities are reduced. In Legends, there's no sushi (what's wrong with sushi during soccer?). When I've sat in Delta for non-Yankee events like the Pinstripe Bowl, they gave nothing away, so unless you're okay with the price going up, nothing will be added. The Audi Club is like Legends in terms of food, that's why the cost is high relative to each match.

That likely means there are just shy of 16K seats sold - I'm pretty sure they said they were limiting season tickets to only 20K
