The way I've seen it described: Pacquiao won the fight, Mayweather won the boxing match.

pacquaio couldnt fight. everytime he tried., mayweather caught him with a jab and dodged his way out of a corner completely disrupting any rhythm he could start.

i mean if the fight was 1 round, that being the 4th, then pacquaio wins... but of 12, not even close

What I haven't seen yet is the chanting more while our team is losing... It's when they need encouragement most.

I've been to most home matches and have had a great time despite losses - I'll be around on the 15th as well.

I took a break from here and the fb group for a couple weeks cuz ppl were just trippin. I popped in here for the shoutbox during the game last night since I was unable to attend/watch/figure out how to look at the score in that stupid MLS app .

Not knowing much about football other than how to watch it and have a good time generally prevents me from getting caught up in a lot of the arguments that have been taking over social media.

I bought my Mix shirt (Cuz stupid modells didn't have jerseys) three days after we got whooped by Chicago, less than a week after losing to Portland. I don't even think I'll be able to attend a game until the mid June one against Montreal. But I wanted to get my gear ready just in case my circumstances change.

Point is I don't think fans are disappearing or pulling their support for the team. I think many have decided to just pull back from the forums/social media until you no longer need to be wearing turnouts to participate in a discussion.

There a few people going a bit over board but most just agree that we are bad. We shouldn't lie to ourselves as supporters. Being loyal and sticking by your team is one thing. Lying to yourself is another story. Anyone calling for Kreis' head doesn't understand the game. But also anyone that can't admit we are downright awful and hard to watch also needs a reality check. As supporters we should be able to discuss that and not hide from it.

I usually text with a friend during the games we're watching on tv and that's exactly how we feel about it. I am proud to be a "founding member" fan from the start, and I celebrated with everyone else at that first match when we scored those goals and ultimately won, and I'll always have that. But it's impossible to to sit through the game and not be frustrated with some of the stuff that is happening on the field. It's worse when you're in the stadium and your entire section is yelling at them to take a freakin' shot and they won't. But a lot of the verbal abuse directed at the team, and at Kries in particular is just exhausting to read/listen to.

Though frankly I wish he wouldn't have gotten himself quoted saying that "it's harder than I expected" or whatever it was. He really shouldn't be making that kind of statement publicly.

I think it's a conversation that has to be had. Especially since activity has slowed down and you see nothing but bitching left and right. Very prominent on FB. I think people here are more understanding of a new club going through growing pains.
But the fact that people have stopped supporting is kind of sad, on their part. You know the minute we start winning they'll be back on talking about how they're a huge supporter and have been there from the start.
We don't look good. Agree. We have mediocre, if not just flat out poor players. Agree. Chances are if villa isn't in the game you won't see so much as a trickle of excitement. Agree.
Why still watch? Waiting for the day we turn it around. If that means one day it just clicks and next game they're killing it then Awesome. If it means Lamps actually showing up and DP3 making a huge impact and we turn it around, great. If it means waiting till next season and the club making a lot of much needed changes, sure.

If you stop supporting now you're just a bad sports fan in general. You're the guy that turns the Yankees/Mets game off if they're losing 5-0 in the 5th.
For the rest of us, we have a place to bitch and moan as we should and are entitled to. But I know I'm not going anywhere. I'm not happy with how we look and with some of the decision making but I'm here and I'll be here next week and the week after that.

Didn't stop supporting. Just got to busy to spend a lot of time on the Forum. City Till I Die.
