To drown my sorrows with tonight's results (Chicago-1 vs NYCFC-0) instead of crying I felt hungry and rather than having a drink, I thought of food and decided to start this thread. Forum members please share recommend or nix your eating experience around YS . Use 1 -10 to rate 1 being bad and not returning and 10 will be back for seconds.

I will start with with Delta 360 Lounge. I had chicken nuggets and fries. The nuggets were crispy, not greasy however the fries were dry and not tasty.

second time , had a pulled pork sandwich with melted cheese and broccoli. Since I love broccoli, it looked delicious. It was ok, it satisfied my hunger pangs but will not have seconds. Price wise for the taste buds it was high. Will explore other stalls in the stadium. Rate 5 for the free soda refill

PS : Forum member Emilio recommends the Philly steak at Carls on the 100's section

The Hard Rock Cafe. I selected a dish that had a little of everything: buffalo Chicken wings, nuggets. potatoes tatters and broccoli dip and toasts, and mozzarella sticks.
It was very good. Food was served very hot, since I am a slow eater (my food tends to get cold) I love my food to be served hot. Service was very attentive too. I plan to return but after I try other places and my budget allows . Prices were fair. Rate 8

When I am broke / or on a diet will go to Mc Donalds for a salad or a coffee with apple pies. It still is a bargain 2 apple pies for a dollar.

PS: to help you keep your waist small substitute regular soda for diet soda. Many folks don't like the flavor but this works for me.

I've only had a pretzel in the stand behind section 238. I was about 7 or 8 beers deep (mostly from Dugout and YB&G) so the pretzel was exceptional.

Outside of the stadium my vote goes to the empanadas at Yankee Bar & Grill. There is no word, or groups of words in English that can describe how amazing empanadas are when you are drinking.

You thought the prices at Hard Rock were fair? I thought they were ridiculously high.

the slider bucket from the BBQ place (beer made me forget the name) near section 132 was pretty damn good to split with 2 people - it's pricey at $20 or so, but you get 4 pulled pork sliders and a pound (that's a lot) of fries

I'd give it a 7, but it gave me the farts like hot garbage drizzled with vinegar in July, so my wife gives it a negative score

The empanadas at Yankee B&G are awesome - will be my new pregame go to.

I'm a vegetarian (who eats fish...and bacon;)) so the food at the stadium sucks for me.

I've tried the fried pickles at Brother Jimmys, not impressed. Had the egg rolls at Noodle Bowl - felt wrong, but was pretty good. Also had the fresh cut fries, they were soggy. I heard the ribbon fries are good, might give those a shot.

At Yankee games I used to get the garlic fries, but I'm tired of them. The food on the first level is pretty lame, I keep hearing about a nacho station...where is that?

TabascoDiva TabascoDiva the salads at McDonald's are unhealthy, eat well all week and then let the NYC match be your cheat meal and enjoy yourself. You can trust me I'm a lawyer...and a personal trainer:cool:

arent the mcdonalds salads bad for you?

Really! You and Leilanikali420 have told me this. I go by my taste buds, waistline and budget. Why are their salads bad for our health? thanks for the warning.

Hi! You are the second member that has sent me this warning, would like to know why its bad for our health...bacteria, chemicals to preserve them longer...?

Thank you all for the empanadas tip. they are next in my yum, yum list

It's not that the salad parts are bad for you, it's the bacon or dressing or "crispy chicken" that you throw on top that blows the fat and sodium content through the roof.

The McDonald's side salad is fine.

I do not eat salads, but I've heard from a lot of friends who do eat it, also I've read many articles about the topic of salads at fast food places. this is one of many examples. http://www.healthywaytocook.com/2014/05/just-healthy-mcdonalds-salads/

this pretty much sums it up though. if you eat the salad straight, theres no harm its lettuce tomato.... whatever it is, you cant go wrong with that, the additions kill you.

another example, weight watchers actually allows you to eat McDonald's meals with their point system believe it or not

just food for thought though

the best thing I had inside was a $16 steak sandwich 200 level ny steak or something like that, real close to the cheese steak place. the worst was a dog from the Kosher dog place at section 229 most disgusting thing I ever took a bite of.
the dog must of been in the water for a month.

I tend to eat a lot of beer during the games. Which unfortunately usually leads to hot dogs, pizza and peanuts.

I've done the chicken strips bucket a couple of times. $20 for 6-7 strips and a pound of fries. I enjoyed those with a friend, but wouldn't say it was anything special. The fries get cold real quick too. Not sure if that was a result of the weather the first few games... I've also done the burger slider bucket, not pulled pork slider. I was disappointed in that one. The sliders come plain. No cheese, no ketchup, no pickle. They tasted dry and I would not recommend that option. I actually have worked with the Lobels on a couple of their projects, included their ill-fated Lobel's location on 61st and 3rd. At their Manhattan location, the steak sandwich was AMAZING, and it had melted cheese and fried onion strips. As a result of being spoilt, the Lobels sandwich at the stadium tasted pretty plain. I felt very disappointed and actually have to remember to tell Stanley Lobel about that, maybe I can have that remedied. I'm overall disappointed with the food selection at YS, and have walked around a few times searching for a hidden gem of food heaven. Something decadent and filling like the Short Rib Grilled Cheese at Citi Field, or the Pulled Brisket topped Mac & Cheese at Barclay's Center.

Here's the best list I could find, and I'm not really tempted by any of these other then maybe the Garlic Friesby section 108 and that's not even a real meal. http://ny.eater.com/2014/3/31/6252165/what-to-eat-at-yankee-stadium-home-of-the-ny-yankees

Glad I come for the football. Oh wait, that's been disappointing too. Can we turn this into a Best Beer at YS thread???

Maybe I'm killing the joke, but the beer selection is easily worse than the food or the football. Best beer available is Goose Island, IMO, which is really no better than okay. And last game they were out of it at the heavily-Goose-Island-branded stand on the main level in the 230s. Lame.

It comes as no surprise. Goose Island is one of the many InBev (Budweiser) brands so that's as close to "good beer" as we'll get for now.

Tailgating is the most enjoyable and affordable way to go! Maybe we could organize a forum members only tailgate area and have people run a larger grill so train folks can just walk over and join us!
