Not gonna lie my strategy to begin the season was to fill with lowest cost on my bench and stack starting roles.
However, are there any sleepers in the sub 5 or 6 range?
Goalie wise I benched Eirik just in case he takes the starting job but I can always change that come opening day.
But the remainder of my lineup are studs with benched duds. I figure after the first few weeks I can move out the underperforming studs and upgrade the duds to the 7-8 range.

Axel Sjorberg - D - Rapids - Dude was money last season before injuries took hold. He costs nothing to to stash on roster with tons of upside.

EDIT: FYI he's $5.5

A couple that I went with that I thought were really good value...but again, this is my first go at this, so take it with a grain of salt.

1) Brandon Vincent @ $5 mil
2) Wil Trapp @ $7 mil
3) Fatai Alashe @ $6.5 mil

Didn't go with BV because he's on a pretty meh team. So getting clean sheet bonuses will be tough. Also he's a CB meaning he won't be picking up a lot of crosses. I stuck with fullbacks for my backline.

Makes sense regarding the Fire, but Vincent is a LB

$5 Mil starters are great for your bench

Giovinco selected by a staggering 68.2% of teams. Almost impossible to not have him and not captain him every week.

Try me. Opens the season with a bunch of road games, and no longer counts as a midfielder? Maybe I'm a homer, but I'm thinking about going with Villa. Better schedule early on.

He stands out more amongst the forwards than he does amongst the midfielders. To 10 MFs averaged 171 points last year, while to 10 Forwards averaged 159.

Not playing him is a huge risk that could sink your season before it even begins...

He was so money last year. By the time most people noticed his value was very high. I remember doing some major rejiggering to free up enough cash to buy him, for I think around $13, and I never regretted it..

Oh? Idk why I thought he was a CB looking back at it I remember the argument to take him was that we lacked a LB so yeah brain fart there.

Could be the fire also taking his CB backline partner from college in the draft that got you mixed up.

I don't like that they moved him from Midfield to Forward this season. But still have to roster him.

So how are we feeling about that Morris price tag after tonight's game?

He fit the part but he didn't blow me away. I'll go with "need to see more".

I like Agudelo at 8.5.

Trapp at 7 is insane to me.

Took Shelton at 6. Could be good, could be me reaching. Decent bench choice.

Dillon Powers at 7.5 a steal too, but we are both Notre Dame guys so I might be a tad biased.

Trapp at 7 is insane to me.

Maybe Trapp will put up bigger fantasy numbers this year (69 pts last year) but I went with Tchani for a buck more at 8 (144 pts). Meram is also 8 (121 pts). I wouldn't say they were sleeper picks but decent bargains at that price if they're able to put up similar numbers this year

You also gotta remember that Trapp only played in 19 games last year. He was battling a nagging injury for the first half of the season. He didnt really begin starting every game til the last fifteen or so games.
