MLS Sleeper picks?

So how are we feeling about that Morris price tag after tonight's game?

I liked his price and still do. Schmid statrted him in the 433 last night in a match that should mirror their starting lineup week 1. He looked strong and won a number of corners for Seattle and created chances for other teammates. Schmid would leave him in front of goal on corners to use his strength to open up space and he almost scored on one! His header was only stopped by an amazing stretching save by the keeper, that may have been over the line if there was replay available. He was also left in till the 85th minute, which means he has the stamina and manager's confidence to play full matches in his first season. Remember, although he's played for the USMNT, this was his first professional match ever. Fantasy is not just talent, but opportunity; and as a starting forward for Seattle he'll get plenty of those.

That said, I don't have him in my lineup at the moment. I spent an extra $.5 and went with Larin for $9, who has shown the ability to explode and just win you a week all on his own. I don't know if I'm ready to start expecting hat tricks out of Morris just yet.

I was just fooling around on the site and it occurred to me one guy to keep an eye on is Ike Opara of SKC.

I had him on my team last year and he scored a ton of points for a Defender before he was forced to miss the rest of the season with an injury (torn achilles?). He had 46 points in 6 matches.

His $7 mil price tag makes him a tad too expensive to stash on the bench, but if he shows early on that he's recovered, that price may be a bargain.

C.J. Sapong (Philadelphia) is another player to keep an eye on. I have him on my watch list, and down the line when the offense starts to catch up to the defense, he might be a guy I transfer in when I go to a 3 man back line.

Cameron Porter (MTL) He had an amazing run in the CCL before his injury. Hopefully he's recovered and can combine with Drogba to put up some nice numbers.
