I can corroborate what Degrozz is saying that there are very good things happening, if that gives any credence.

Here’s that discussion:
Starts with a discussion of fast food burgers, ends with dark knight dropping that Newtown Creek rendering that got everyone excited for a spell. (The first legit rendering we saw? Despite how dumb that whole cycle turned out to be.) I think that post was linked on every fan site and multiple times on reddit over the week or so afterwards, so it would explain the trend.

What he is running for? Look at his website! There is nothing about policy here. NOTHING! He has more information about his wife than himself! Stop being an idiot Bill. We don't want you in New York City, but at least agree to our stadium plans.

Bloomberg for a 4th term!

He’s raising funds that will go into his Super PAC.

Running for President is a business now.

I know that...

Fuck de Blasio. He's not even running for president. Look at his campaign website. It's just a button to donate money. I won't even link to it because it doesn't deserve the clicks.

Fuck de Blasio in his stupid fucking face.

I'm just really pissed about it. He has such a punch-able face. I shouldn't have asked him where Dante was during the first home match. I should have ripped him apart about all the crap he's done to the city.

The bright side of this is that if his presidential bid is as short-lived and as embarrassing as it is shaping up to be, then he'll be back as a full-time mayor and trying to revive a really diminished, almost dying political career (not as dead as Anthony Weiner's but still...) Maybe two months from now his tactic to appear newly engaged and newly humbled will be to get things done, and our stadium would be something to get done. If his polling continues as it is going, I don't think he'll be running for President in August. I mean, you don't want to be a permanent late-night joke.

A long-lived and somewhat successful participation in this primaries would have been our worst case scenario.

Bill DeBlasio lacks self-awareness. He’s not going to throw in the towel and he doesn’t care what his approval rating is in the city as a lame-duck mayor. If he takes the time to sign off on the stadium, it’s because his deputies got it in front of him, or because CFG (via whatever method they choose to wash it) is writing a check to his super-pac.
