The best thing about these renderings are that it's blue and orange so we can imagine what an NYCFC stadium would look like :3
...it's also the worst thing about these renderings :(

NYC colors are blue, orange, white - but NYCFC colors are sky blue (or whatever they call it), orange, white, with bits of the NYC blue in there. I would imagine our stadium would be themed with the sky blue and white with bits of orange here and there. Definitely not the aggressive royal blue and orange of FCC.

I know we don't even have an official site for the stadium yet but I would feel a little better if the club released some potential design renderings to show they are at least thinking about it!

When we actually DO get a stadium, I hope they put money in a real roof. So many stadiums have overhangs that don’t quite cover properly. I feel like RBA is the only stadium that got it right in that respect.
Colorado’s roof looks like it’s a farce.

Ha! There must be seats that get drenched from the spillover off those panels when it rains. or others that have the worst glare when the sun shines right between the panels. why would they do that?

The intent was to mimic the Rocky Mountains. Not even kidding. Worst gimmick design ever.

I wonder if they are also partially inspired by the Denver airport.
No idea but would assume the Denver Airport also used the Rockies as an influence. When the stadium opened, commentary specifically noted the Rockies as the influence.

still a good small stadium, though i went evening so the sun not an issue. it was james sands debut. though in our away section there was nothing at all over us.

I hope not. That airport is a shitshow.

really? my experience must of been a rare one. it was bit of a line but nothing too bad going thru security on my way back overall fine.

I've used it a bunch. really gets crowded on that 1st floor going back as all terminals go through the same entrance and they have one huge snake line taking you to maybe 6-7 X-ray machines. And if you have an airline that checks in on the 2nd floor, have to enter on the 1st floor, go up to the 2nd to check your bag, then back down to the first floor to deal with that line. Also, getting out is a pain, you have to first walk forever to a monorail to get to main exit. if you rent a car, you're getting a bus to your rental site. if you take the train, you take this HUGE escalator down to a station and you better time it right or you wait 30 mins for the next one (which really sucks in the winter, but they do have a small coffee shop to hide in). But, I digress... But, it's the stadium thread...

You should be happy about the huge escalator because the alternative is hauling your luggage down a huge run of stairs.

Interesting that people hate that airport. Or the walk to the monorail.
