No idea if it's technically feasible, but as far as Brooklyn options go, Pier 5 would be great as far as accessibility.
Pier 5 will never be converted - it is a community park asset.

I wrote a while back pontificating the possibility of CFG buying/leasing 1-2 piers at the adjacent NYNJ Port Authority Container Terminal and building there as it has easy access to the BQE, nearby subways, and a mile from the Atlantic Terminal. This would be a more likely option than taking highly used park space from the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Fair enough. Someone just mentioned Pier 5 a few pages back before it was determined the skyline in the rendering was actually Houston.

Yeah that was me. I fell victim to the NYCFC propaganda machine.

Best solution has to be teaming up with Columbia and building it in Manhattan.

Two birds, one stone.

That would probably work out very well for Columbia because if they're going to build an unnecessary second stadium, they might as well split it with someone so it's not a complete waste.

Easy access to the BQE ain't saying much. Like saying you got tickets to paint-drying theater.... who wants that?

As seen on Twitter, the Head of the Populous NYC Branch just retweeted the EoS article on NYCFC's stadium survey/Yankee credit increase, and is also following NYCFC on twitter.
So you're guaranteeing an announcement, with full designs, and a press conference where Mayor De Blasio pledges his full support (while trying to avoid killing a rodent) by the end of the month. Right?

That's the location on google maps.
I'm wondering if anyone has more info Deron wouldn't share anything else on FB about who owns the property and he's suggesting it's owned by Yankees/CFG by his comment.
As far as I know that land is part of Hunters Point South. Info on this page:

There's a link to a PDF there with a brochure about it. Here's the PDF link:
