I rewatched a bunch of old stuff recently, lost, wire, west wing. Breaking bad. Prison break. Watching sopranos again now.

I was never a big TV watcher - I loved the few things that were really good, but I would save my time for other things - movies, for instance. Since I got married and had kids (from about 15 years ago), everything has flipped. I used to have all this time and there was very little to watch. Now, I have no time, and there is amazing television everywhere.

I'm generally extremely bored by ongoing digs at our stadium situation from fans of other teams, even to the extent they are justified. But this I found clever:

We are going to have to find an alternate location because the Yankees will be playing there. Damn, not even the Field of Dreams. Hahaha.

I'm sick of it, too, but when the field is literally failing under the players' feet, there can't be enough criticism leveled on the Yankees and on NYCFC. They are putting players' careers in jeopardy on this field.

It's never been this bad before this season. It was never good, but it was never this bad. The entire season, the infield area has been absolutely terrible; it's barely even playable.

forget who it was, but a houston player clearly twisted his ankle on the turf when it gave way underneath him.

it is terrible and needs to be addressed. is it just poor work by the grounds crew or is it just the limits of sod on infield dirt? I feel like it's the former.

Something is different this season. Maybe they're cutting costs or something, but the turf has been noticeably worse this season than it was at any point during our first 4 seasons.

well, lower attendance, lower ticket prices as a result, less season ticket holders... maybe so. but that'd be one really stupid area to cut costs considering it could potentially injure million dollar investments (i.e. players).

Yeah I mean maybe I'm wrong -- but there's clearly something different about the grass this year.

As any home owner will tell you, this has been a terrible year for lawns. Not sure if that applies, but it might.

Maybe it's that simple, but I tend to think the Yankee Stadium grounds crew is there for that purpose. It's never looked worse than it's looked this year, and it's never played worse than it's played this year.
