Another stadium, non-stadium item I wanted to bring up. When we have our own stadium, what would game start times look like? Obviously, it's based on the regional and national TV schedule. If the Yankees have a game at 7 PM, would we be playing at 4 PM on YES? Or would be play at 7 PM and be on Amazon-YES?
If both teams are at home then they would probably space it out 1pm NYCFC and 7pm Yankees. I'm sure trying to relieve traffic issues will be something the team will have to give as part of the negotiations with the city and borough. If one is home and another is away both can be at 7pm and we would fall on Amazon Yes. If we are taped delayed when we have our own stadium I'll be beyond annoyed

I think the home/home scenario is also a concern. Good point. There will be no way to prevent games on the internet only if the Yankees and NYCFC are playing at the same time. Our own stadium wouldn't change that, though it definitely could help the team try to schedule home games not to conflict with Yankees games.

Have I really reached the point of apathy with the stadium? All these years, all these discussions. I really don't care anymore. Maybe it's the time it's taken, maybe it's all that's going on in the world, the lack of MLS this year; who knows? But I looked at JayH JayH 's post, clicked on the link, then felt meh and didn't care to read. And if they do build a stadium, I'll probably check it out, but I don't know if I'll care to go to the first game there. Whatever, sorry for the apathetic rant.

I think it's just the state of the world right now. It's harder to care about things, anything.

I'm in the same boat as Adam. I hate the idea of being stuck at Yankee Stadium, but in the big scheme of things, there's bigger things to worry about. I'm already convinced we'll be at Yankee Stadium for at least another 5+ years. In the meantime, tickets will be inexpensive and we'll maintain semi-competitiveness. YS is also pretty convenient for those of us driving from north of the city. When I looked at the Outfield article I was like...

making a stadium in the city was always the impossible task, like i half jokingly said in first year or so here. We in YS for 10 years at least ( or variation of it- citi field games RBA "home" games). anyone thinking it was going to be earlier than that either really dont know nyc politics/red tape or willingly being naive

Yeah, I saw the article, shared, and then barely skimmed it. I guess I am also checked out on caring about the stadium. I still really miss the joy the team brings to me and the fam, but have been so turned around by life, it wouldn’t phase me at this point if the stadium became a no-go.

Yeah, we didn't have a whole lot of "breaking news", or exciting updates to include in this, but after speaking with several folks such as Ayala and Philps, felt it was necessary to levelset where things stood on the local community support standpoint.

They wanted to be clear that nothing concrete had been shared with them and Ayala specifically seemed a bit annoyed that she knew nothing about the upcoming NYT article and that the developers made it seem like the local community was involved earlier on this time.

I was also told from these folks that they are not necessarily against a stadium, but just can't provide anything in support of it until they know what that package looks like.

And lastly, as I saw some chatter on Twitter and wanted to clarify, everything the club (and Maddd) is doing in the South Bronx is fantastic and well worth recognition. Did not want to take anything away from that. But they haven't included the local community in any development discussions (the Community Board were the ones driving the ULI TAP). I get the sense that the strategy here is to make sure all the other city agencies are on board with details, and then bringing it to the Community Board and Ayala/Gibson.

Thanks for keeping on this, you guys continue to be great. My note wasn’t content specific, just an observation of my own perspective.

Oh I know. As several folks previously said, there is a decent amount of stadium fatigue and couple that with the current environment, an update regarding reconciling local community support isn't particularly exciting, haha.

And I know you weren't being critical or anything, but I am always open to critique.
