STH Membership Packages will be mailed ~2 weeks prior to the home opener. check your email for additional details advising you to confirm you mailing address via Account Manager.

People on Reddit are posting that they got an email saying that you must be a member of the Third Rail to sit in 236/237 now.

that is correct. Heard that as well. I don't sit in those sections, so I'm not impacted.

Hopefully my closing date doesn't get postponed. I'd hate to have my package sitting in limbo on opening day.

maybe temporarily change your address in Account Manager to another family member or friend's address to ensure no issues with delivery? then change it back once you're in the new place.

Thanks for posting this Goodfella Goodfella. I was just about to do so.

I've also been wondering about whether and when the club will announce an opportunity to personalize our STH cards. Time is running short.
When Man City offered this option, the announcement was made June 18 2014 and photos had to be uploaded by June 25. That's only a week, which makes me think the announcement I found was not the first, but let's work off the deadline on June 25. That was 60 days before the MCFC home opener that year on August 25. Our home opener is March 13 and 60 days before that is January 13, which is one week from today. So unless there is an announcement today we are behind the Man City schedule.

Melbourne added this feature this season. The announcement is dated September 10, 2015, the deadline was September 20, and their first home game was October 25. From Sept 20 to Oct 25 was just 35 days. For us that would correspond to a February 7 deadline, which could mean an announcement near the end of this month. But I wonder why they would wait at this point. I have to wonder if we might not be getting the option.

Send it to your office address - before I lived in a doorman building, I would always have packages sent to the office so that they wouldn't run off from the entry vestibule before I got home.

That's not new.

I think the reason for the confusion is that they opened up 237 to anyone partway through the season. I know someone who after attending a few games in seats scattered about the stadium bought a season ticket in 237, but they were not required to join Third Rail prior to or subsequent to purchasing tickets for 2015 season. Will have to for 2016 season

Interesting. Membership was required to buy season tickets in those sections prior to the season beginning, wasn't aware they loosened it.

My recollection is 236 was sold out prior to season starting, but 237 didn't sell out even as season went on, so partial season tickets were available without membership

That is correct. Just another thing to further separate our supporters groups. I think club is doing the right thing in limiting to TR as was the case last year. Those are their sections. They earned them last year by being the only official group. If hey don't fill them then the club again does the right thing and opens them up. But if they're promised to TR then TR has every right to require membership.

But despite all the complaining from other groups or people that got into those sections last year there isn't a single one of them that has been able to pull 100 people to get official status. Do what the club is requiring and there's no issue. Not referencing HoO here as they've made a home in a neighboring section.

That's because the team has assigned you, as a special gift, the NYCFC Team Coaches Jacket actually worn by former Coach Kreis in the historic home-opener victory.
DC United used to (and maybe still does) have a team merchandise sale after the season, stuff that was either leftover from the hoard of uniforms/gear that the equipment manager had for each player & also used stuff the players wanted to sell. Don't quote me on this, but I think the proceeds went to the players (not the team) as a way to help them with their finances. My buddy typically pick up some random warmup gear or such from a random bench-warmer although I think he may have once snagged a John Maessner jacket.

At any rate, I'm a bit surprised NYCFC didn't do something like this for the team & fans - I'm sure there would have been at least a few players that would have appreciated the $$ from sales, and it'd have been Midas Mulligan Midas Mulligan 's chance to get the official coaches jacket with JK on the front. Hell, I would have even considered picking up something belonging to NG.

Someone tweet this idea at our new President.

With Kreis still in it.

Some NHL teams do this. I highly doubt the money goes to players seeing as how the league minimum is $500k haha. But it's pretty great. Sticks, skates, pads, jerseys, etc. All available and pretty reasonably priced.
