Supporter sanctions?

The speculation on reddit is that Los templados went over to the away section to steal a banner or something which resulted in a fight in the bathroom by the away section. Guy that was banned may not have been involved with the fight but was part of the group that came over to antagonize the fire fans. If true, I don't really have a lot of sympathy for this guy.
did anyone / will anyone from Los Templados confirm or refute this?

I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate: Confirm? No. Refute? Sure.
Any SG needs to police themselves. Fine, this guy wasn't involved and should be reinstated, then tell the team which member(s) were involved. The team knows the gist of what happened by way of CCTV - they may just not know which person was directly linked to the alleged fight, hence they either got it right with this guy or they're making an example of him in that somebody will always be held responsible; its up to the SG to decide if the supposed sacrificial lamb deserves the punishment or if the real culprits should be put forward. The team probably doesn't care either way.

This is starting to get at it, but what gets overlooked in a lot of these conversations is that most members of most supporters groups never have any issue with police/security/other fans.
Honestly I'm not so sure about that, would probably have to go on another team forum to get a true understanding. Also would be good to look at how many incidents for fans in the first few years of a team versus after a longer period,of time.

I guess los templados is apart of some umbrella group that issued a statement:

They deny that the member that was banned was actively involved but they never come out and say that no los templados members were involved.

On reddit some people were saying that one member came out on facebook and said that going to the other side of the stadium to cause trouble was not cool, and other members reacted by callling him a traitor.

Someone else was saying that these guys were involved in fights at chicago too.

Yeah you can't just take absolutely no responsibility and make a shit load of demands and expect anything to happen.

LOL, Of course Billy Howell is involved. His Third Rail exit could be a master's course in how to make an ass of oneself.

This was a very, very poorly written response. I don't see how this helps their case at all.

"After being caught up in an incident that occurred at half time" - what does this mean? They are confirming he was involved in something. Just say it. Say why he was being questioned. And then they confirm later in the letter that there was a violent incident that occurred (though they do claim that Fire fans "attacked them twice now" - even though this apparently happened near their section?)

"Foreign ownership aside, in this country people are innocent until proven guilty...." - This line here accomplishes nothing but being antagonistic. Its stupid.

Interesting that in the section where they mention soccer fans are so kumbaya all with each other ("pregame together" - please use different language, go to weddings together, etc.) they left out fight together. Also, I'm sure Knicks or Yankees fans don't do those similar things he listed. Agree its a different culture and the bond is different, but he does nothing here to point that out.

And of course, agree with everyone's comments above. Something did happen, they have as much confirmed that in this letter (stupid). Come out and say what happened and why the ban on Juan should be lifted.

Sorry for the rant. The 6 train was all messed up this morning and I'm a little bit Hangry.

I too was on the 6 train this morning and suffered from severe hanger and lack of coffee. I think the delays happened "after being caught up with an incident that occurred during [rush hour]".

I applaud you for making it through the letter - it was so poorly written that I just had to stop. What the hell are they teaching these kids in our schools?

*Edited to throw more shade.

Last year wasn't Los Templados a sub group within the TR that was granted access to the limited allotment of drums (2?) the team allowed within the supporters section? A privilege they honored by playing said drums with the skill of a 5 year old trying out an instrument for the first time.

It sounds like they had some type of split with the TR and are no longer associated but if the number of drums are still limited and these clowns still have any access it should be immediately revoked. Then again maybe the drums have already been taken away and that's why they have so much time on their hands to entertain themselves in other unproductive ways.

Well, I've always thought beer played an important role in their lack of playing ability and have often wondered how they'd sound without it. Sadly, we'll never find out.

Just an FYI the guy that got ban was the guy that got married to the chick with the mohawk or something before the first game.
