If anyone has access to SBJ and can give further info from this article, it would be great!
The teaser gave an important detail and glimpse into the league's future strategy. It stated that the league has instructed all clubs not to have any local TV deals beyond 2022, and that they may package all rights together, ala the NFL.

It's a few years away, and the media landscape is shifting dramatically, so its difficult to predict how we will be following the league in the future, but it's going to be interesting to see how, and how much our next video rights deal is distributed.

I am looking forward to another update of this poll, but with these demographic trends, the next MLS TV contract should be an industry game changer.

I love that poll. They only do it every few years, and it will be interesting to see if the trends continue. See below for charts from the Gallup article.

The key for MLS is going to be getting a bigger share of the attention of domestic soccer fans. Right now, there are a lot of immigrants who root for the leagues of their home countries, and a lot of Eurosnobs, who watch EPL or Serie A. Neither group pays much attention to MLS.

So, while 7% is a great figure for the sport - especially compared to 9% for baseball and 11% for basketball - MLS has to get a bigger portion of that 7% to follow the league.

Worth noting that while searching for those images, I came across a 2017 Washington Post poll with the same question and nearly identical results, with Football 37%, Basketball 11%, Baseball 10% and Soccer 8%. The current interest levels are a real thing, and the demographic trends (soccer trending younger) seem correct.
