TikTok Gets Roma Player Fired

Obliquely on topic but everyone should just not use Tik Tok. That app's collection and abuse of data is orders of magnitude worse than Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc., and on top of however they misuse your date, they host it insecurely so others can find it and also misuse it, and further on top of that the app itself is not well secured so third parties might hack the code inside the app and do even worse things. They load proxy servers on your phone. They know a hell of a lot more than simply how much you like prank videos, silly dances, or teen girls in tight clothes.

Don't use Tik Tok.

100 percent agree. And it's not a US company that has this data, it's a Chinese one.

And CFG is 12% owned by China.

This is a strange world we live in.

I personally think it's the right move though.

How do ya'll feel about this?
Hey I know that guy! He's pretty good for Shwafta FC on FM20. Helped us win the Bundesliga in 2025/26!

I just reread the article about stealing data from the clipboard. The security was so bad that Tik Tok would steal data from your Mac, as long as Tik Tok was active on your iPhone. This is a horrible, horrible, security breach on the part of Apple that I did not even notice at first. But at least I mostly trust Apple not to do this on purpose. Apple is, in my informed but non-expert opinion, better than most personal tech and software companies on this front. But as horrible as this is for Apple, I double down on my horror that Tik Tok was intentionally and actively stealing clipboard data from people's Mac computers via their connected iPhone. And after they were caught once they did it again.

Don't use Tik Tok.

Since I derailed QuigrNYCFC QuigrNYCFC's thread with not fully relevant public service announcements, let me answer his question. It sounds like Antonucci was let go for being generally disruptive and inattentive to his responsibilities, and this included but were not limited to his Tik Tok antics. Take away the social media angle and it is a rather unremarkable story. As for the Tik Tok bit, we've seen issues like that come up many times before, usually in isolated incidents, where a player goes on social media and posts images after a tough loss and people think the player does not care. After a brief flare-up usually the consensus is that it's not a big deal. It looks like Antonucci made a habit of it, though, and gave other reasons to indicate he was not as committed as he should be.
