Uk Supporters

I think it really depends on how many we get and whether we come together as a group or not. If there turn out to be a community of us then it's possible. Of course, we would also need to examine what was worth doing - there's not a lot of point founding a club to negotiate group tickets and so on for a group who might attend maybe 3-4 matches a season between 100 members, for example. Also, might be worth looking into whether the group should be UK or all of Europe, etc.

For now, there aren't a lot of us around so I've not really been that interested in pursuing this idea, but I might be interested should there be a decent group of us eventually.

I think due to our connection with us (mcfc) then they'll be quite a few of us. But as you said, at the moment it isn't a priority. The priority is on our American friends and their supporter groups.

Hi folks I'm from Scotland. Got a few mates and set up a wee Facebook and Twitter page. Good that Sky Sports will be showing the games. Might just have to have a couple of beers at home or nip down the pub...lol
Sixth Borough?

No I didn't know about six borough until after I set up our wee Facebook and Twitter pages. Almost cancelled our pages when I saw the six borough ones. But ours is just a small group of friends and others having a bit of fun supporting NYCFC. Looks like six borough are looking to grow a bit larger than our wee group...lol....

good stuff, welcome. Where in Scotland? I've got people in Glasgow & Perth

Hi I'm over in Fife although family from Paisley and Dumfries. Seems like a lot of interest for NYCFC from UK also saw a group called six borough which looks really good. Looking forward to watching the games on Sky

Hey fella's

I'm a UK based NYCFC fan and I joined 3rd Rail last season but my membership pack didn't arrive so I chased it up and all I got was a load of lies from a guy in the 3rd Rail sales team called 'Chance" - several emails of lies in fact - he was good at it (lying that is)!
Anyhow, the new memberships come along and I got fresh emails from the sales team trying to dip into my wallet again so I explain that I've been lied to enough already but they talked me round with promises that they'd send out my membership pack for last year and use the money I paid for last year (but for which I received nothing but lies) and use it to pay for this years membership. They said that they'd get it all in the post to me but they lied again as I've received sweet FA again.
Have any of you guys managed to make contact with anyone in the sales team who can be trusted or should I wave goodbye to the money I've forked out to the shysters in the sales department and click unsubscribe in the emails I keep receiving?

I'm sorry you've experienced these issues. However we are not affiliated with the Third Rail in any form or capacity. please feel free to air your grievances to them on their website thirdrail.nyc

you can also reach them via their forum, which can be access in the link I provided above.

http://www.thirdrail.nyc/board-of-directors - Bill Domieka seems to be the individual you need to reach.

Hi Einwinder, thanks for your help here. It's very much appreciated!

Bump

Let's see if we can get some interest in this page

Hey Shane, where in the UK are you based? I will have to miss the Hudson River Derby, but will be in London (May 21st) and hope that I can catch it somewhere/anywhere. Do you know if it is likely that any pubs will show the match?

Hi, I'm based near Manchester, my advise is to find a American Sports Bar, Sky Sports show Live MLS games and NYCFC are on quite often on so their a good chance of it being on, I would find some Sports Bars in London and nearer the time, just give them a bell and request if they would show it, most sports bars show various sports on different screens so couldnt see a issue with them showing it, good luck
