Uriel Antuna acquired by City Football Group

He's headed to England.
From what I've heard he is very fast but raw. I think CFG's plan is to see if he can be depth at the wing for City during preseason and if it doesn't work out loan him to us for the rest of the season.

So preseason is just like 4 weeks? After that he's either sticking with Man City or going to us?

We need some outside backs CFG! And maybe a backup CB that is competent!

I don't think he's good enough for La Liga yet though. Don't see how he plays anywhere in England considering he has zero caps unless like you said he has a visa... Seems he'd be NYC bound, though I don't see where he'd be for us this season other than a sub. Pero, I will trust NYCFCfan NYCFCfan

Remember CFG have worked out plenty of deals with teams in Europe to loan out players. NAC Breda comes to mind and I'm pretty sure they bought or have some sort of deal with a La Liga team too.

Yeah, Girona is the team. and this true about Breda. Just a weird purchase to me for Man City unless they see him really as an untapped potential. Usually for a team like City buying a 19 year old, said 19 year old would have a ton of first team caps. Antuna has zero.

girona just got promoted im sure they will give him minutes if he is loaned there. dutch league seems more plausible....it may be odd considering man city is not like chelsea where you buy lots of youngesters loan them out then sell them

as for us.....do we really need another midfielder? i dont think it works...we need help in the back.

EDIT:

He won't be heading for Manchester. Can't see him getting a work permit, and he's a bit too old to stick in their academy teams. They play their u-18s in the highest-category academy competitions, once players graduate from that they go out on loan.

It all adds up to Girona for me.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to New York. We have plenty of players already going to Girona.
