USMNT Talk

It’s a smart and prudent move on their part. If we had a coach, I’d expect the same from us for maximum prep time and chemistry creation. There’s zero reason to attend camp cupcake.
ATL is taking CCL seriously and doesn't want another national team camp messing things up like the playoffs last year. It's just friendlies.

I feel like we won't be lucky enough to have a bad enough result until we make the WC (somewhat stumbling in), getting picked in a group of death, and then get embarrassed 5-1 each game.
Oh never bet against the US to lay an egg against a concacaf minnow. There’s still a chance.

Writing this here cause I didn't think it warranted another thread..

I am surprised neither Parks nor Sands made the u23 Olympic squad. Good for us cause we will have them for games, but they deserve to be called up. Especially Sands, the way he's been playing.

Didn’t MLS say they weren’t going to force clubs to honor a callup? Maybe the club told kreis that they weren’t going to be released, so don’t choose them and avoid the rejection.

Fox Sports is replaying the USA vs Algeria game from 2010 World Cup.

It's amazing to watch now to see how far the USMNT has progressed since then.

There's a lot of hoof it up the field and hope that Donovan or Dempsey came out on the other end with the ball. They got caught in transition so much. Very little possession of the ball.

If the players had a little more composure, more shape and were better defensively, they could have easily won that game 3-0.

And if only Cherundolo, Bocanegra and Demerit were in their prime today.
