Vancouver - Postmatch

That's complete BS. That has to be an assist, even if there was a deflection. I hope the league retroactively changes that.
Except that Crepeau gets credited with a save and GMS statistically took 2 shots in that same sequence. I don't see how you can have a pass-shot-save-shot and get an assist for that second shot.

I guess -- even the YES guys initially gave him the assist there because, let's face it, that's an assist even if it isn't credited as one. That goal doesn't happen without his great pass.

Really it's no different than when Keaton Parks flicked the ball to Taty for the winner against Houston. Taty shot, it was saved, and he knocked in the rebound. No assist for Parks on a beautiful play. Because of the bang-bang timing last night it feels very different, but it's the same thing.

Yeah I understand technically why it isn't, it just feels wrong.

Why does it feel wrong? The point of an assist is completing a pass to a teammate who then scores. Maxi didn’t complete the pass. Full stop.

I'm pretty sure this was the first win in the Secondary grey jersey this year. To be fair, only the third game it was used, all on the road. We've also not lost wearing it, with 2 draws against Minnesota and Chicago.
I absolutely love the grey jersey. My favorite only behind the primary’s we wore last year and the year before.

We did what we had to against a very poor team on turf (which is worse than Yankee stadium) Although we did take our foot off the gas and attempt to throw it away for a bit.

Hope Heber isn't out long.

Mitri seems to be improving let's hope it continues.
