View From Your Seat

Yes the map does it a disservice. I'm annoyed because the map on the official ticket exchange is even worse, and makes it look like the seats are very high and far back, like on top of the subway or something. Even worse, listed tickets don't show up on the map, only in the actual list, so they will never, ever sell.

But more to your point, they hang right above the Mohegan Sun club. We are about level with the front row of the 200 section seats, I think.

I sold 2 in BE3, Row 2 for yesterday's match. $60 each.

On the official exchange? Good to hear. They do show on the map via Ticketmaster, which has everything the exchange has, so there is that.

Yes it was through the official exchange. They sold on Saturday

From these photos, I notice the grass is much better at the start of this season than last year.

Any problems with the fence to your right?
Honestly, haven't sat there yet - just walked down to check out the new seats and get a picture. Will let you know.

Switched seats from last year, but for the opener we used Cityzens points for the Delta suite upgrade. From scouting out 205 last year, I'm not too worried about the fence. A little worried about being able to see the scoreboard.

Damn I wanna sit in the Batter's eye seats. Is it weird since it's only a few people?
We were discussing it elsewhere. It is a small number of people, and on Sunday there seemed to be a high concentration of kids and families, plus it seemed a lot of the people were not STHs, but probably got the tickets on secondary market or loans. I've got a ticket available for Friday listed in the Inquiry thread

I can help you there for tomorrow...3 of mine are up for sale now on ticket exchange. I have only $10 above face. BES1 Row 1 seats 3-5. Seats are awesome. Great view of pitch and home bench. Great access to bathroom and concessions. Love them. My kid is sick so we can't make tomorrow night. Ugh.

Glad other folks caught this too. Ticketmaster makes it look like these seats are under the billboard. They are actually right on top of the action. Love these seats but pissed my resell value is hurt. Talked to the Club and they said they would talk to Ticketmaster (e.g. nothing will happen) and hoped the value would go up when folks started to see from the other locations how awesome the seats are.

Face is $65. I am trying to get that for 3 of my 5 for tomorrow but I am not holding my breathe. Working my personal network now since I cant trust what people are seeing on ticket exchange.

Can you share on your delta upgrade experience.

Was it worth it? Pros and cons? Are things too pricey in there? The more details the better. Thanks

You know, I think a lot of the bad "views" that get throw around with playing in Yankee Stadium come from the TV watchers. The seats around 136 seem amazing for soccer. You're higher up than pitch-side, and still very close to the field of play. The 206ish area almost literally hangs over the field of play, and you can see everything from there. 010 to 015, you're probably 10-15 feet from the endline. I get that there are a bunch of seats where you're a bit far rom the action, especially on the sidelines, but the endlines and some of the corners have some really great spots, especially for the price you pay, which is, in my opinion, very reasonable for he experience.

Delta was good, and worth it considering I didn't have much else I wanted to spend 1,000 Cityzens points on. (Got to sell the regular seats and recoup some money there too!)

They have two different areas for food - I think one had sausage and sushi, and the other stuff like pizzas, burgers, meatball or chicken parm subs, etc. The food was mostly cooked to order and was better than what I've had out in the "general population", as you'd hope. Two different bars with the regular beers, plus wine and a full bar/cocktails. Prices seemed in line with the rest of the stadium.

There are some tables inside to eat at, plus other areas with lounge chairs/tables, etc. to just hang out if you want. TVs etc. on the walls of course to keep track of things if you have to step away from the game, and having the (nicer) bathrooms within the Delta area was a plus. Outside there is a patio with more tables, etc. and a great view, and then the seating area for the game - cushioned seats, etc. with a pretty decent view (you're elevated above the pitch on the corner of the field near home plate).

We got food and a drink and sat inside the suite at a high top right by the windows. Then went out to the patio to hang out for a bit, then to the seats for the game. Good experience for the (basically free) price.

(EDIT: Added some pics of just part of the inside, the patio, and views)

No surprising, but still a bummer.

I would assume that it's best to try out Delta before the safety nets go up.

Damn if I could make it to tonight's game I would've hit you up on that. I got previous engagement tonight though. I'll be unable to even watch the game on tv.
