Yangel Herrera to NYCFC

Interesting film. He's a big dude. He has that big dude way of running where it looks like he is loping around the field but he's actually moving very fast because his strides cover so much ground.

Herrera is in Houston enjoying some fine American dining. Whataburger and Starbucks.

Didn't know what Wataburger was till a guy from Houston started working in our office and has since insisted on a regular basis that it's the best fast food burger ever. Still haven't tried it but I did learn that if you want to say the places name in proper texan it's pronounced water-burger, emphasis on the drawl.

Whataburger is some serious stuff. Grew up eating it - the best late night burger before heading home

Remember when Calle had that cramp inside the box and was playing Larin onside. Good times, right?
I can never decide what was sadder about Calle. That moment or the fact that when he had a few good moments early in the season, I remember thinking he was pretty decent because the personnel during the first half of 2015 was so bad.

Remember when Calle had that cramp

......every game he played and he needed to come off shortly after subbing in. His ratio of appearances to the number of times he grabbed one of the back of his legs and called for a sub has to be in contention for some type of world record.

Anyone that has played sports at reasonably competitive level has had one of those endlessly frustrating teammates along the line that can't differentiate between normal hurt from exertion and injury. Calle always struck me as one of those people. How it's possible to be one of those people and become a professional athlete is beyond me.

No shit. Each of the few minutes he played, he did look like one of our top players.

I'll put it this way, he was one of maybe 6 people I didn't want to (or actually) Bronx cheer during lineup announcements. That roster was so, so garbage. In retrospect, it looks like MNU now or worse but with Villa.
