Yankee Stadium Seating

I went to the Chelsea game last year. To be honest, any of the seats up top are good ones (besides the fact that you're up top). It's almost specifically designed to view the outfield grass, which is where the games will be played. Where it gets tricky is on the baselines because the seats are slightly tilted to see home, but I don't think there would be a problem. Any of the outfield seats would be good views. The only ones that would be annoying would be by the foul poles, which were still up for that game (don't think they come down so I imagine it's the same for all games).

I'll be at the Stadium on Saturday (and many times after that) and will take in as much as I can. If anyone has questions in regards to sightlines and such, let me know and I will do my best to answer.

Misread this. Definitely post some pics if you can.

I know most will be in supporters section, but has anyone taken in a soccer game @ Yankee Stadium before? What sections would offer the best sightlines and views of the game?

Also I wonder how they will handle seating when they move to new stadium, will it be you get to choose "comparable" seats to what you had at Yankee Stadium or priority the same as seat selection at Yankee Stadium and you get to pick your spot all over again.

I ask since I have Supporters & Standards
A bunch of my friends went last year, they were in a suite, and said the field looked great. I also went to a Yankee game this past weekend on the first base side where the Champions Club is located (Section 12) and it was beautiful. So if the field is laid out the same as in the friendlies, NYCFC should have some great turnouts and awesome seating. Let's go NYCFC!

I had originally wanted to be directly behind goal as close to the field as possible. However after sitting right behind goal at the USA vs Turkey game at Red Bull arena, I am much happier that our supporters section (Third Rail) will be at an angle in the corner.

Build up play is a lot easier to see/depth perception is easier that sitting right behind goal. Also, we aren't going to be that far from the field so we won't be missing anything.

I did some scouting last night at the Yankee game. I think 103/104 are great seats with great value. Almost at midfield, slightly elevated to see over the benches and not nearly as far from the pitch as they appear in the map.

The front row is about as far away from the pitch as a middle row would be in a normal stadium. You just need to sit on the first few rows to avoid looking into the bullpen netting when you look to your right.

Only drawback is you ate a bit removed from the concessions, which are a few sections over.

These would be among the most expensive seats in a standard stadium.

I would imagine that the only problems with seating at Yankee Stadium would be the foul ball poles.

I really need help here, Ive been a football(soccer) fan since "99-2000 but never been to a game because I used to live in the dominican republic and the sport is not big at all over there, I was planning to get my tickets in the 136 or 135 section. what do you guys think?

Depends on what experience you want. If you want to sit and enjoy the game the best deal is right behind goal in 135/136 or in the corner 131/132. If you want to sing and cheer on the team the most of us in the Third Rail Supporters group will be going nuts in 237/238.

Depending on what your looking for, anything by the supporters section in the 100's or 200's will get you best prices and be next or in the supporters vibe, that will be second to none in MLS. if you want to be as close to the grass as possible the midfield seats or seats by the dugouts are the lowest to the ground, another option is 103, which will get you midfield-ish seats, behind players benches, but elevated so you can see over the players.
