And this will impact our schedule, so here it is: http://mlb.mlb.com/schedule/?c_id=n...tw&adbpr=40927173#y=2016&calendar=DEFAULT&m=4

Looking at the dates, here are the Yankees big road trips

April 9/10

April25-31 (could be a midweek match)

May 16-23

May 27-June 5

June 13-20

July 1-14

July 25-Aug 2

Aug 18-25

Aug 29-Sep 4

Sep 15-26

Based on that, I'm guessing we see a bunch of midweek games and home March fixtures. That's not a lot of dates.

Someone else said we were in discussions to start using RedBull Arena

Good find , but you do need to double check some dates.

I just checked the first two, and both are off.

April 8 - 14
April 25 - May 5

The team should use Citi Field. Better food spots. Tons of assorted beer and alcohol. And just plain more hommie.
I know it won't happen but I'm allow to dream :)

Having to use a second stadium would completely mess up tickets for season ticket holders.

This is a good find. Plenty of room here for weekend games when you consider that many of the windows cover more than one weekend. Plus, March and October are not included (although the Yankees certainly aren't crazy about giving us dates in October for obvious reasons).

I hate the weeknight games.

Anyone else notice our four weeks away from Yankee Stadium this October somehow accidentally match up with the MLB playoff schedule?

I noticed a while ago and I do not think it's a coincidence, but one piece still doesn't fit. Our one home game is Oct 25. According to this schedule, the last game of the ALCS if it goes 7 is Oct 24. It's unlikely but not impossible for that to be a Yankee home game. The first WS game is Oct 27, and if the Yankees are still around that will be a Yankee home game. So how do they do the 3 day transformation?

They work all night and get it done.

The October road trip is something we should get used to until we are in our own place.

I had the impression that the 3-day requirement was to let the sod set, etc. I'm not sure you can speed it up by working harder, longer, or with a bigger crew.

Wouldn't it be quicker to go from soccer to baseball though? You'd only be picking up the sod and then tidying up. Going from baseball to soccer though yes, I could see it taking longer as the sod needs to have time to grip, which lately seems to be a bit of a problem.

I agree that makes sense, but there's short time on both sides of the NYCFC game and if the Yankees surprise us and make it to the WS then they, MLB and Fox will want the field to look perfect. I fear NYCFC could get displaced. It probably won't come to that.

You know the Yankees game would take precedence.
They'd move the soccer match.
The only question is date or location.

Addendum:
I decided "location".
MLS and its broadcast partners are invested in having all games played on the 25th in the 5pm or 7pm broadcast window.
Citi Field also might NOT be an option.
MCU Park?
