I wouldn't take Yaya if I had the choice, but seeing as we're probably going to get him whether we want him or not, I'm trying to talk myself into thinking he'll be good for us.

If yaya comes to NYCFC it should definitely be as non-DP. We need that DP spot for a promising YOUNG talent that will stay and grow with the club. I read an article earlier that brought up a good point. If Yaya comes and turns out to be another pirlo who is just worthless on defense and gets benched, will he take it with class? Pirlo is world class and accepted his benching with that class. I tend to agree with the article that Yaya probably wouldn't.

Watching Yaya jog around is painful, but that's always been the case. He's always looked like he's limping or has one leg shorter than the other.
Apart from that he's made one crucial and rather athletic defensive intervention, one run through the center that reminded me of the Yaya of old, and about a bajillion sidewards passes after drawing a few Feyenoord defenders in, which is about as you'd expect for a D mid.

I mean he is one of the dirtier agents in world football, but I’d have to assume he’s telling the truth here. Not sure why Yaya would want to leave City at this point considering the amount of trophies they could win. I’m sure Yaya wants his name mentioned in those record books and to be apart of any possible celebrations.
