Stuver now with 7 goals allowed in 7.33 games plus one saved PK, with a constantly changing backline in front of him missing key players.
I think he exceeded all reasonable expectations.
Any idea of his charity donation running total?

Question is did he sign to be the #1?

i doubt it, hes never been a number 1. he always been sub. whats wild to me is that he was a former crew player and Ben Sweat had some crew links too and now both are playing in austin, which was basically the original columbus crew spot.

Ring, Sweat, Stuver all going to Austin. Austin FC = NYCFC Jr.

I could see him being a stand-in number one for their first year, similar to Saunders for us. Granted Saunders was previously a starter too, so you could be right. Not a bad pickup for them either way.

From what I’ve seen from some highlights, Stuver has been a revelation for Austin. Interesting that he has so humbly sat as #2 for so many years.

when he started for us he was ok not amazing but ok. I just dont think hes a starter on a top half team in the league. So hes perfect match for an expansion side, he has MLS experience and being named starter im sure has given him massive confidence.

There’s been a fair amount of ink spilled (is that still a saying?) about Austin FC’s final-third shortcomings pre-Sebastian Driussi and Moussa Djitte, but don’t lose sight of how dependable Stuver's been this year. He’s single-handedly kept the expansion club in games, and will surely play a prominent role if they climb toward the Western Conference playoff conversation.

It turns out that the 30-year-old, after spot minutes with New York City FC and the Columbus Crew, just needed a chance at the starting role. Sporting director Claudio Reyna and head coach Josh Wolff offered exactly that with a deal before the new year.

Now, Austin FC fans might feel miffed Stuver wasn’t named to the 2021 MLS All-Star Team roster. We hear you and see you, as do the folks at Extratime.

He goes for the shove with his arms tucked into his chest. Weird.

He did get a yellow card.

Stu must have been really, really pissed to purposefully attack another player. He's probably one of the absolute nicest people you will ever meet. Bad form by Stu, but maybe the guy deserved it... somehow
