It's nothing more than an exercise in Marketing 101 which either one of those two authentic teams with all the history could have participated. It certainly isn't NYCFC's fault Red Bull Jersey Boys are too freakin' cheap and the Cosmos are full of shit when they spout off about their deep pockets.

I really wish I was able to attend the parade (either on or off the float), but I'll be en route to Foxboro for the USMNT match against Haiti.
Edit: Kinda wish we can flop this weekend's match with next weekend's so I could just stay for the game against the Revs.

This auction has long since surpassed my points availability.
Turns out the red bulls are gonna be there as well. I actually disagree though, they shouldn't have a presence at the parade. I doubt they'll pull out though, one thing we've learned about them is they're tone deaf when it comes to fan backlash.

so the rumor is that NYCFC/NYRB/ MLS and i think a couple womens teams will have a float and the consensus is that they are all pissed and seeing this as lack of respect since the parade should be about the USWNT not marketing clubs.
though i have to believe MLS or NYCFC is helping sponsor for this parade, i seriously doubt the city is chipping in anything.
The city is chipping in 1.5 mill. Parade costs 2 mill, sponsors only brought in half a mill.
ah good to know some figures, like always trolls will say anything on twitter. I know cosmos fan just justifying why they declined etc.
