Soccer is increasing its momentum in the USA. That the home product is increasing is good news. Will be interesting to see where the sport is in 20 years

MLS is the 7th best supported League in the world which is not bad for a bunch of League One standard players and a few aging superstars thrown in.

Measured by attendance I presume. I imagine our ranking would be lower measured by tv ratings, especially if weighted by population. To an extent, MLS has an NHL-style fanbase: a healthy measure of passionate fans, many of whom are STHs or attend regularly anyway, and a less healthy measure of committed but non-attending fans who provide most of the income to sports like the NFL, MLN and NBA.

In order to pull in TV audiences, soccer needs media attention. To get that media attention it needs celebrities. Ways to become a celebrity include organizing dog-fights, taking drugs, cross-dressing or beating a loved one. I guess Hope Solo has taken on that role.
There's also an alternate way, which is producing world-class players. Who's going to be the first American to score 30 goals in a Premier League season?

Well ok. If we need a volunteer, I guess I can do it.
