Thursday's victory vs DC United illustrates a very important point.
NYCFC absolutely needed to win the match to keep from losing further ground.
However, it didn't substantially change the situation.
DC United still #2, NYCFC still #9.
The point being while NYCFC must continue winning, we need (most immediately) Orlando, Chicago, New England and Columbus to LOSE matches.
