I can't say I've spent the time to understand whether the Audi Index is a credible way of measuring performance, but Brillant shows up at no. 9 among CBs. I suspect it is large part due to him being first in the league in clearances per 90 by a pretty wide margin, at least per whoscored.com.

Why is no one calling for his head?? This guy was trash since day one and has given up goal after goal. As soon as I saw him on the starting 11 I knew we wouldn't have a clean sheet. Everyone came after Josh, but this guy right here needs to be cut ASAP.

Definitely gotta give credit where credit is due. Team effort today, but he had a solid match considering the circumstances.

I'd like to note I have not been overly critical of Brillant except for his speed.

Regardless, he balled out today. He seemed to win everything in the air.

And putting his head in there for the 2nd goal was borderline stupid, but I love him for doing it.

It has only ended poorly when he's been brought on as a sub early in the second half and we gave the opposing team significant time to dominate midfield. When he's been brought on the last 15' of games, we have not conceded. And this was something that announcers were harping on earlier how we did not concede in the last 15' (they weren't talking specifically about Brillant, but about how we don't allow goals then).

hey I'll admit, I trashed him. He was shaky, expensive (salary and Int. spot) and a gateway drug for PV to make soul crushing substitutions. But when a guy sacrifices his safety for the team he the credit he deserves and moves out the basement of the hate list. Continue showing grit and perform and ill start to be disappointed when he's not in the 11.
