What will the official attendance be for the All-Time Home Opener against the New England Revolution?

Yankee Stadium's full capacity is 50,287. The normal soccer capacity is approximately 27,500. This is without the 3rd and 4th levels open, and without the sections around home plate (Sections 17B-21B and 117B-121B).

Right now, the whole stadium is open for ticket sales except for the portion behind home plate.

The record attendance for soccer is 49,653 for last year's Liverpool - Manchester City match.

Survey closes Saturday night at 6pm or any earlier time when an official ticket sales number is announced.

FWIW, they've opened more sections in the 400's. I just got off Ticketmaster and they offered me a pair in 422. Hence, the sections are slowly swinging around the upper deck form the left field foul pole to the home plate area. If they have any type of walk up, they could damn well come near to a sellout

700 sold in the last week. I can see everyone who has one going to the game.
Don't see it being more than 40,000 as they just announced 35,000 yesterday I believe.

For a regular game, sure. For this game, I doubt it. Barring rain I would expect the vast majority of ticket purchasers to be there.

(As of Friday, the team said, almost 40,000 tickets had been sold.) For a typical regular-season game, the upper deck will be closed and capacity will be capped between 27,000 and 28,000 fans.
