I Wrote An Article

True enough. A team is not one player. The Lampard->Villa axis will hopefully reduce Villa's frustration level, and Pirlo should be able to feed both of them. Iraola and Angelino should be able to do what Lampard, Villa and Pirlo expect of top-level players in terms of vision, game sense and skill, thereby reducing everyone's frustration.

But yes, the future is not in our current DPs, and we need to focus on those who are our future.

I don't think you cna really argue this point. Myself, I pointed to Lampard's mid-season arrival simply because for a long while he was the only name we knew was coming. Now we know a couple of others with a third (we hope and expect) confirmed this week. With all them combined I think we can expect improvement over the current roster, but Lampard alone should not have given rise to expectations of a total turnaround. Improvement yes, and we might have won a couple or few times duruing the winless streak, but but not a one-man miracle.

I think that he will definitely be a better midfield presence than Grabavoy. I have felt that we need a leader in the midfield. I definitely think that they way Poku 1 picks up his head and 2 always moves positively will mean his is that leader for the future. Mix is like a beagle after a fox for the most part. I think having a solid up and down the pitch midfielder like Frank will help us be stale, however he isn't the end all be all. We need a Jonjo Shelvey maybe. A midfielder who will test a keeper from range. I keep saying it, we need someone who is going to suck the defense toward them and has the ability to pass the ball into the opened space. Frank can do that but we need a #9. Nemec is a -9 at this point.

Frank can let it off from a distance. I'm shocked more players don't try to shoot it from far at YS.

The only goal we scored from outside of the box at YS was Ballouchy. The only other goal we let fly from far was Tommies vs Philadelphia.
