He's not? That's a travesty. I would not trade him for any other CB in the league (except EPB, who I actually want to leave MLS for USMNT purposes. Qualifying my qualifier cancels it out I guess). If I cared more about the All-Star game I'd be very upset that he's not even on the ballot.

Chanot must be already selected, then. That's the only thing that makes sense. Each team gets 8 nominees. Ours are
GK: Johnson
DEF: Matarrita, Callens
MID: Moralez, Harrison, Ring
FWD: Villa, Wallace
You could swap Chanot for either defender and be more than justified.
Now I know you're being sarcastic, assuming "sense" on the league's part.Chanot must be already selected, then. That's the only thing that makes sense.

How is this decided? I like Callens just fine but would *anybody* put him ahead of Chanot? Good to see Ring get recognized though.
The nominations for the All Star Game are made by members of the media with a maximum of eight per team. The MLS game day roster is made of the Fan X1 vote, two commissioner picks, and the rest of the roster is selected by the head coach of the MLS team, which is the Chicago Fire coach (any injury replacements are made by the MLS coach).
Thanks. Maybe they were excited about Callens because he is new? I mean if you don't know the team well you could easily say "their defense improved a lot after they added Callens so he must be a huge difference maker".
