Genuine question: Is this advertisement soccer enough?
And if you were to show this to 100 New Yorkers, how many would be able to identity:
1) David Villa (who is really the only player shown aside from that super brief clip of the Mendoza goal vs. Vancouver) 2) MLS
3) NYCFC
4) Yankee Stadium

I wonder if the stadium gets built...along those lines.
Seriously though I think most people don't know there's a soccer team playing in New York anywhere besides New Jersey Red Bull's. This ad serves as a passable "introduction." Also makes the team appear part of the city. Instead of a new team with 1 season of history.
If people don't know about NYCFC, they surely don't know about the Red Bulls.
I slowed it down a lot and I'm almost certain it's Hernandez. It's from our home game last year against the Quakes.
The T.V. version most likely will have reference to NYCFC.
I'm forever in love with the ad.
