Rumors, news, discussion on not if, but when Kreis is let go. Names talked about in several threads:
1) Bruce Arena - Current Head Coach of LA Galaxy
2) Bob Bradley - Current Head Coach of Stabæk in Norway, Former USMNT Head Coach

There's also the possibility of someone from the Man City organization (past or current) coming over to the states.

We're either going to get an American coach or at least a coach who studies up on how MLS works and has a spotless understanding of how shit works.

I always thought that MLS had less to do about forming your team than attacking other teams' weaknesses, since, really, MLS teams probably have more weak spots than European teams. We can trot out 4-5 guys that will really play solidly, but the other 5-6 should have an area of their game or positioning that is a really weak spot and you just need to attack that spot until you find the back of the net. It isn't a world cup chess match, more like a rec league pickup basketball game where you get the ball to whoever's being guarded by the short, fat, balding guy.

Our next coach will have a mid-table Prem side on his resumè. Or Bundesliga or La Liga.

CFG wants to bring European football to MLS, and the manager will be the next piece to that puzzle.

Or it'll be Eric Wynalda.

MCFC just sent one of their very best prospects to be coached by Kreis.

Remember our first game when Kaka got a lucky deflection on a free kick late in the game to tie it up? If we aren't unlucky on that one shot in March then we are in 6th place today and in the final playoff position.

3 or 4 years from now when Kreis moves on to England he will be replaced by someone with an MLS background. The learning curve for all the roster/salary cap/international slot/allocation money/targeted allocation money reentry draft/free agency is too steep for Coaches who want to be able to shape their roster. Wynalda is a good bet if you wanted to put money on it today.

Thank you! Glad to see someone here have some sense

Kreis may move on to England, but it will be to drive a lolly.

Eric Wynalda and Ariane Hingst, best coaching duo in the world.

Love reading the vitriol towards the coach, the players and pretty much everyone after every loss. Guess it's good to vent. Kreis isn't going anywhere unless NYCFC are knuckleheads.

I love reading the smug non responses anytime someone brings up genuine criticism of Kreis's actions as a coach or the performances of a Wingert or Grabavoy.

He won't be fired this year unless we completely shit the bed the remainder of the season. Then again, how much lower can we get.

We bottomed out earlier this year. We are 3 points out of a playoff spot and are going to have Lampard and Pirlo on the field soon. We are in better shape than the Revs were a year ago when they got Jones. We will have more NE#1 games than yesterdays NE#2 game. We will have more success and Kreis will be here at least 3 years
