The Cooligans aren't just comedy and soccer crazed, we also love food!

*Okay, I love food and Christian doesn't mind eating it. I'm fat, it's kind of my specialty at this point.

We went out and did what no else was willing to do, taste test the sandwich and I explain the different components and how they work together. Let us know what you think. We've got the entire NYCFC experience covered for you, the fans!

I'm glad you did this. I love blueberries. But pickled? On a sandwich? With Salami? Very glad to hear it works and might have to try it.

I think they just sit them in the pickled onions for a while as opposed to actually pickling them because they seem pretty straight forward blueberries. The sandwich is really good, then again all of their sandwiches are good. While we were filming and eating (about 30 minutes) 4 people came in and ordered the Pirlo so it's definitely a popular choice

Thanks so much for listening!

There are some good NYCFC related podcasts, each with a different focus, and Cooligans is by far the funniest.

My father passed away earlier this month and the Cooligans podcasts were the first things that brought me laughs and smiles. Many thanks for that.

Your stuff is true and truly funny.

So I'm eagerly awaiting you guys getting em up (more podcasts on iTunes that is) soon.

I had the Pirlo sandwich today and it was great. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical, but it was a really tasty sandwich. All the ingredients work very well together.

Thats one of the reason we did the taste test! We wanted to make sure people knew all of the ingredients worked really well to create a complete bite

I haven't had it, but i imagine they use older bread, and the damage it does to your back side is not worth the few moments of wonderful taste it provides. Of course, if you had the same sandwich in Italy a few years ago, with fresher ingredients, you'd probably appreciate this one for the memories, but that's about it.

The sandwich actually won best sandwich of the year four years running in Italy, but since it came to America it's not too good compared to other sandwiches.

the "backside" reference in this was totally worth it.
