Here is a list of our acquisitions this year. Please note that the team, as Orlando, is an expansion squad subject to rules/restrictions which require us to acquire players via specific means. If someone wants to elaborate feel free.

But having to use expansion draft and free agency during a time where Europe is not in a live transfer market makes things very difficult. Plus it doesn't make sense to buy players when you have no idea what the makeup of your team will be upon completion of draft/etc.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting this is because I'm seeing people making comments that just don't make any sense.
1. We need to spend money. Blah blah blah...
On who? Find a player not playing right now that's worth signing. Otherwise wait patiently till end of European season and our transfer market.

2. We should have signed better players.
Like who? Again we were limited to free agents and draft picks. I think the few players we bought we didn't really buy.. Allocation money was used.

3. Kreis needs to go.
Really? While I don't agree with some decisions he's made please remember what we are working with player wise.

Just look at this list. Taking into account how we HAD to put a team together from scratch everyone should just chill. Give this team a year. Give us 1 full year of transfer market activity and see what ownership can do. See if they make moves in the right direction. Right now we are stuck with what we have. If ownership and management shows they are content with the status quo then we should be alarmed. Right now we just need to show patience and understand why it is we are in this rut. The fact that we are not being blown out on a weekly basis by teams who have been playing together for years and that took years to selectively create their team is a feat in itself.

Orlando has 3 more points than us. As much as people here discussed MLS being a joke league it's clearly not. You can't waltz in with 2 names on your roster and expect to win a title. Both teams will need time to selectively fill their roster with talented players. Not just players who other MLS clubs were ok to part with.

Not sure if it has been aggregated, but here is my effort, mostly collected from official sources, and a few other articles for larger draft context, etc. I'll skip Villa and Lampard, for obvious reasons.
