Apparently the Micronesian national team has conceded 114 goals over the course of three matches in the Pacific Games, via a 38-0 loss to Fiji, a 30-0 loss to Tahiti and a 46-0 loss to Vanuatu.

That HAS to be match fixing. It's not like they're playing against Argentina...

I have always heard not to bet on international games. Most especially not on friendlies. Apparently it's ripe with match fixing.

It's not match-fixing. Oceania is just that poor at football. Remember that this is the continent where Australia once beat American Samoa 32-0, and the guy doing the scoreboard lost count by the end - a score so high that Australia's FA took the decision to leave the OFC and join Asia because they were tired of walk-over matches. This is the place where you have places like Guam, who go decades without winning a single game, and you have national teams where half of the players don't even have a regular team they play for. Many of these places are island nations with only three teams in the entire country, about ten league matches a year, and on top of that they have a population in the low tens of thousands and football is their third sport behind rugby and maybe Australian Rules Football. Half the players can't even kick a ball straight. You could probably count on one hand how many people in the country even play the game. I can absolutely see those results being legit.

It's basically like what would happen if a single English county were to somehow become an independent country, and you ended up with a Premier League team playing against village sides in the top level of competition.
