Last night's lineup should show everyone Kreis job is safe.
I agree. That starting lineup was set by a man who knows his job is secure. If his job was on the line, we might have had mix or poku in. It's like it's a scrimmage and we're still experimenting ....
So he throws Wingert and Grabavoy to sabotage the "CFG lineup"? Sneaky sneaky Kreis.
As mentioned elsewhere, I was monitoring ShoutBox and the general consensus there and on Twitter was that the level of City's play was better during the 2nd half after the DPs left the game. There were even scattered compliments for Grabavoy's play.
Just sayin'.

Practice 5 times a week 8 hours a day.
Practice starts in fucking January now. Its snowing? Youre running 8 miles to warm up. Youre cold? Score 7 goals on the corners of the goal to get warm water.
I would put the quote "Works makes you free" (yes i know) on the walls of the camp.
I would teach to attack the ball, especially on defense. "hey facey, quit being a bitch and attack the ball"
a week before the first game next year starts, i would show the team who they're playing for. give them a tour of the boroughs. Chinatown, Bensonhurst, Williamsburg, Flushing, LES, hell even good ol' CP.
They play for the city, not for CFG.

You can't expect a coach to be fired after one season when half of his players were only there for half the season. Yes, putting guys like Ned and Grabavoy in the lineup is crazy, but realistically Dallas was our hardest opponent this week. Plus, we're also playing Toronto and San Jose in a 7 day span so we need to have balance in playing time. Pirlo, Lampard, Mix, and Poku can't all play 270 minutes this week.
We all knew that 2016 would be the real season for this team having all three DPs for the full length of the season and having time to train together. If we suck as bad then as we do now, then #KreisOut

Even if there are no plans to sack Kreis, I assume that that would change if the team thought it had a chance to bring in Bruce Arena.
Short of that, however, I agree with the presumption that Kreis will be here for next year.

As i have stated multiple times; if the time comes bob bradley would be amazing. He just has a way to inspire. One of my favorite coaches.

I think general opinion is anchored by the penalty and marred by the resulting nerves on Dallas' part. I didn't see anything that would have qualified as better football under broader circumstances. It was all kick and rush so the ball was in their half for longer and we had fresher legs so no duh it looked like we got better. By schoolboy standards.
I've only seen the game once but I still thought we were a better side with the vision, positioning and passing ability of Pirlo and (to a lesser extent) Lampard.

Don't bring your logic to this debate. We all know everything is Ned, Kreis and Wingert's fault. We all know that.
Kries and management (i.e. CFG) are too different. CFG isn't changing, and it already seems like the relationship between Kreis and CFG is broken - considering all the theories that Kreis is trying to "stick it" to his overlords.
CFG should just bring in a foreign guy who has never heard of Poku or Grabavoy, and they can learn and experiment in MLS together. We all act like MLS is so unique and so tough to figure out, but c'mon, how long would it take for a smart, quality foreign manager to blow by Kreis in ability while maintaining a good relationship with CFG at the same time.

I agree with you that it will be better next year with all 3 DPs for a full season but I don't believe some of our big issues will be changing next year. A Pirlo/Lampard central midfield combination still means Poku will continue to be relegated to the bench and Mix will be either benched or played out of position. It also means that Villa will continue for most match be featured as a sole striker which is not his strong point.
At the same time, we can probably make the playoffs with improvements. If we are keeping some type of 4-2-3-1/4-1-4-1,we are going to need some wingers. I anticipate Angelino being back for us next season. Is he a LB or is he a LM/LW? Regardless, we are going to need someone on the right side as well.
The biggest changes I think we will see are on the defensive side of the ball. We need to bring in a real CDM destroyer to replace Jacobson. We need to bring in a new starting LB if we are going to play Angelino on the wing. I anticipate Facey being back but we probably need someone to come in to compete with Mena for a starting role.
I also think we need to look to add a couple more MCFC loans. I don't think Facey and Angelino are good enough to play for the parent club, but IIRC Kreis said that we can get up to 4 loanees from MCFC. I would like to see two more guys make the move over here if we have the international slots for them.
Time will tell but I'll be a little surprised if either is back. They're two young developing players who've now had a good taste of first team football. Earmarking them for another season here means 4 and a half months out of competitive matches. I think it's more likely they're sold or loaned within England during January to continue learning as starting players. We'd then pull players from the reserves again once our camp starts
