Reselling Season Tickets

As a new "season" ticket holder, I wanted to get people's experience in reselling their seats when they can't make a game - particularly those who resell on Ticketmaster via the Account Manager. When do you post the tickets? How do you address pricing, and at what point do you drop to lowest pricing so that you make sure you can sell? Any other advice?

Ticket Exchange has worked OK for me thus far. I sold my seats (3 ST's) in 234 for Toronto game for face value ($20) as I wanted a closer view and purchased tix in 111 for $33 so I upgraded for $13 a piece. I'm away on vacation first 2 weeks of August so I've listed those tix as well, 2 games I believe and have sold 3 of the 6 thus far, again at face value. Just trying to get money back on my purchase.

As to the "F**K sellin" contingent, I tried reselling on here previous unsuccessfully. Lots of back and forth and wound up eating the tickets. Ticket Exchange takes very little administration and the money is direct deposited into my bank account. Visitors to the stadium isn't necessarily a bad thing, we're trying to grow the game here after all.

and i do suggest if you are looking to purchase tix and don't have ST's, the Exchange should be your first stop as many people are selling at face value

Another voice here saying that selling in the forum has not worked. I think it might work a bit better for the supporter sections. I also recommend the ticket exchange for all the reasons previously mentioned. StubHub has 2 potential advantages over the exchange: (1) it allows you to sell below the price you paid as a STH, so if a ticket isn't selling you can reduce the price and at least get something, and (2) while the exchange has a good amount of customers, there are still people who only know and look at StubHub for resales so there is potentially a higher audience. But the advantages of the Exchange, especially lower fees, outweigh those in most cases.

The screw selling group is just dumb. What if you have kids and their sick? or you have to pick up an unexpected shift at work? or you have to attend a wedding? or any other countless life events I can rattle off.

I'm supposed to just eat my tickets? You would prefer an empty seat to a "visitor"? Grow up. Not everyone is under 25 and can do whatever they want.

I've sold tickets I think 3 times this year on Stubhub. Don't try to make any money, so I set them at face value just so I can get rid of them without taking a loss. Very easy, money transferred directly to my PayPal, couldn't recommend it enough.

I smell butt hurt.

I told you I was going to derail it.

Here's my thing, G-fella: Why buy season tickets if you know your schedule probably doesn't really permit you to attend? We're halfway through the season and you finally decide to buy SEASON tickets, not individual game tickets, and the first question you have is how to resell them? After the Pirlo announcement...?

Yeah. Ok.

I would like to point out to all that "retarded", while perhaps inappropriate, is still never spelled "retarted". It kind of loses the desired intensity. #JustSaying

Edited it to Stupid as using retarded is not proper anyway and could be hurtful to some members.

I have sold my tickets to either people around me or to my friends. My suggestion is when you go to your first match talk to the people around you and get to know them. This way you can try to sell to them first.
