The MLS 20 for 20 Mini-Pitch Initiative is a program put together by MLS Works, Southern New Hampshire University, US Soccer Foundation and adidas to build 20 mini-pitches in 20 underserved communities around the country. NYCFC's community pitch will be dedicated at PS49 Willis Avenue School in The Bronx on September 14th, 2016.
In support of this initiative, The Third Rail is asking for your help to donate school supplies to the children of PS49 who are in grades K through 5. 100% of your donation will go directly to the purchase of notebooks, folders, pens, erasers, etc. We also designed a custom wrapped The Third Rail pencil that will be donated to the children to show them that we support them and believe in the power of a quality education.
We’ve made it extremely easy as well as being safe and secure for you to donate. We've set a standard donation amount of $5.00. That amount will, at minimum, allow us to purchase a couple of supplies for one student. We hope to supply as many as 600 students so your support is greatly appreciated.
